What the hell?! Boat Mail is a century old train and the pride of SR! We will object this move vehemently at any cost. A new train should be introduced as Kalam Express instead of renaming the existing trains. Why don't this so-called association mind its own business?!

Pallavan will remain safe until vaigai gets a dedicated 24 coach rake or a LHB rake, which is not likely possible. Moreover, enough varieties of food is served in both Vaigai and Pallavan.

Why another day train when Cholan is already running? All they have to demand is for a full 2S train and remove the RSA of MS- MAQ express with that of Cholan.

Pallavan serves the purpose without any second opinion. The extension to KKDI is nothing. 75% of Pallavan's passengers are boarding from TPJ only.

This seems to be a wonderful idea. But, operating a fully unreserved train will be difficult as it is the only day train in main line to Chennai. Also, the coaches will get reduced if the A/c coaches are locked and run. And the most important thing is SR won't be ready to lose the extra income from the A/c coaches.

Since irifan2015 and Sourav has explained you clearly everything many times, you fail again and again to understand the reality. It is a valid question as to why long distance passenger trains are not operated from the state capital in TN. I'll again tell you the fact behind the operation of long distance passenger trains in Karnataka connecting state capital.
As you know, in Tamil Nadu ---> Buses are operated to everywhere and thousands of buses are operated to Chennai in a day by the state government at nominal rates so that the "poor" people of the state get benefitted. In Karnataka, these are the districts HQs with dedicated passenger trains daily from Bangalore.
Mysuru (4 trains), Shivamogga (2 trains) , Tumakuru (3 trains) , Hubbali (Dharwad) ( 3 trains), Chamarajnagar (1 train), Chitradurga (1 train), Chikkaballapur (1 train) and Chikkamagalur (1 train).
SBC- TK is just 70 km and it cannot be considered as a long distance passenger train.
