Hi, my previously waitlisted e-tickets in the desired travel class are now showing as confimed on PNR check. I also had confimed ticets in a different class on the same train which I would now like to cancel. Is it safe to assume the recent confirmations are solid and will not change back to waitlist so I can cancel the earlier confirmed tickets?

Just photos showing the layout of the seats. Something from the front of the bogey interior would be useful.

Understand. Even so, any recent photos would be useful. Some more questions since this is my first trip in 2S on this train (I have travelled before when they had 3A) - are the seats and legroom reasonably comfortable for a 9+ hour journey especially for elderly people? Is there room for small bags under the seats in addition to the overhead racks? There is a pantry car so I assume food is served in 2S class. Are there folding tables attached to seats in front to hold food trays? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I thought 2S is bench style seating with all seats/rows facing in one direction. My last trip was in 2009 when I thought they had 3A but maybe I am mistaken. Is this 6x6 seating on one side and 1x1 on the other separated by the walkway? I am travelling from Bangalore to Thrissur.
Any responses to my question on the seating config? Is it 6x6 on one side and 1x1 on the other with the walkway in between?

Thanks for the responses and the photo. I have a reasonable idea now about the seating layout. Thanks also for the confirmation that this train used to have 3A.
