Hi friends,
I'm taking a trip this 22nd (Thursday), on the Bangalore-Chennai Intercity Exp that leaves SBC at 08:00 AM, 2 people. I already got confirmed tickets in 2S (D6), but it somehow seems I won't be able to sit in them if I board from KJM, which is close to my house...
Can someone offer me tips such as if it is better to board from SBC than KJM, and others who have experience in going in this train share theirs as well? I've already seen the comprehensive post in
the train tips section, and it's a bit overwhelming to be honest.

From KJM it will be crowded but you will get your seat. You just have to make way and reach your seats.

Its not as frightening as it is made out to be. You will have to struggle a little bit to get into your coach, and then spend a few mins patiently before you reach your bay and seat.

I just booked a ticket from HWH to MAS in SL (damn YPR express and its almost "non-availability" of seats in AC...) . However, I mistakenly entered age as 20 instead of 23... All the other fields are fine. I realized my mistake only after booking it.
Will there be any problem? Can I go ahead and journey with it? I am worried.
Thanks a lot!

There will be *ABSOLUTELY* no problems whatsoever. STOP WORRYING. IR has made a new rule where ANY ID is ok, even a credit card or a debit card or your old college or school ID. Even if you enter your age as 13, there won't be problem.
In fact you don't even have to enter ID details while booking so relax and chill bhai!!

On board the 12650 towards Bangalore.
Train has been running quite good till Bhopal and was on time. After that, due to manual signalling between Bhopal(?) to Itarsi, bevame late by 2.5 hrs.
Also, maybe due to that making a lot of trains canceled, it was quite crowded in SL from Bhopal to Kacheguda.
Sitting at Kacheguda right now and 1.5 hrs

Hi friends, I have to travel from Delhi back to Bangalore this 27th, so I was wondering about the Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express. It seems that I can get RAC in Sleeper only at this point because of the short notice.
So I was wondering, how is the Sleeper of this train? Does it get unreserved passengers in SL coaches like many others? Is it good in general?
Also, how will be the weather around the end of this month on the route? Will it be very hot? I am trying to decide
against RAC in SL and WL5 in 2A...
Please let me know your suggestions soon. Thanks a lot!

12650 Karnataka Sampark Kranti is one of the best train to travel from Delhi to Bengaluru.
The waiting list passengers are also not much in train.
The Sleepers are maintained neat n clean.
No, it normally dont get unreserved passengers in Reserved class.
General bogie will be fully packed.
For weather: it will be hot humid to semi pleasant (depends on rainfall) upto Bhopal
From bhopal it will be pleasant. Upto Kacheguda.
Kacheguda to Dhone: Humid to semi pleasant
Dhone to Ypr (post Hindupur) it will be pleasant.

Book it in any class, it'll confirm.
The train is pretty good but for a non-railfan the journey might be slightly boring as it spans two days and one night (instead of one day and two nights).
Unauthorised encroachment in SL isn't alarmingly high but in such a weather, 3A/2A is recommended.

Ah, I see!
As for railfanning uh, I want to go for SL because I can't hear the sound of the train well in 3A/2A :P It's only for these kind of rakes I guess, cos Rajdhani has a different rake and a different sound that I'm not too fond of, haha.
