Converting stairs to Escalator in PF-2 and 3 of TPJ is a welcome decision and the project is almost going to over. This wil be useful only if the conversion of PF-1 takes place as it will not serve the purpose if PF-1 is left as it is. Even collecting Re'1 from each passenger the Railaways could have executed this project long back instead of asking the Centre for more money.

At Trichy junction, we manage with one train only for going to Bangalore and Mysore. No new train was introduced in the past 50 years or so. Even though Karur to Salem is connected directly this train runs through Erode only extending the travel time by more than 45 mins., apart from extra burden on Railaway in changing the Loco from back to front. This will also reduce fuel and administration charges overhead on railways. Will the concerned look into that .
