After its remarkable launch in the Mumbai-Goa route, the high speed Tejas Express may soon be flagged off in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu flagged off Tejas Express between Mumbai and Karmali in Goa, from Dadar (East) on May 22, 2017. This is India’s first high-speed train that not only boasts of an outstanding speed, but also world-class amenities on board.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Suresh Prabhu announced the introduction of the luxurious high-speed train in Mumbai-Ahmedabad route, while launching the service between Mumbai and Goa.
Initially, Indian Railways planned to launch the high speed train between Mumbai and Surat. However, the launch plan between the two cities was dropped because the train would then cover a distance of less than six hours and will not be operational for a long time, Western Railway officials were reported saying to the website.
Suresh Prabhu was quoted saying to the website, "Very soon Tejas express will start running on Mumbai -Ahmedabad route. It will be launched in some other states as well. The rail travel experience in India will be redefined with the introduction of Tejas". Railway officials are hoping that the launch of high-speed Tejas between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will be a grand success. Industrialists might prefer travelling in the luxurious train to get a feel of flights on track.

Tejas coaches are fit for 200kmph but for future aspects currently allowed 130 on the 130 sections, while currently tejas is running on 110 mps

all the 3E should be made 3A and LHB should be given with 11 3A, 4 2A, 1 1A and 2 EOG after that it should get 12th 3A coach and 5th 2A coach as well.
And Gujarat mail should get more sleeper coaches discontinuing 1-1 2A and 3A coach.

Yes you will get dinner, regarding Sayaji it comes after Rajdhani at Vadodara. The time difference for you would be just 10-15 mins in which you have to buy a general ticket. If you miss Sayaji, you can try for Ranakpur also. Ranakpur reaches Ahmedabad at 23:50

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
