The distance between shangai and Hangzhou is almost 160 km and fare varies from 8-9 USD if converted in rupees then it will cost something around 560-630 тВ╣ while nzm and agc are almost 190 KM apart and mps of gatimaan is just 160 even though its fare varies between 800-1500...so in that case how can we say that indian railways is heavily subsided ?

SL & UR definitely must be heavily subsidised But waiting tickets are issued in SL class and once in vaishali WL climbed up to 1200..that was more than the total capacity of the sl class of the train #irony .in general there is no limit of travelling passengers..as I already said in most of train 2 people pay for the same seat and in general 4-5 people pay for the same seat...
