Surely required, Mangalore seriously needs inner connection with other districts of Karnataka, Mangalore is an dumpyard of Kerala and TN trains due to zonal issue. Also Mangalore Vijayapura train which was running as special needs to be regulated and extended to Mangalore Central.
that's good news then, SWR and CR can proceed easily.
Simply attach Wadi Gulbarga to SCR. Many issues will get resolved.
SBC BIDAR train can run via GTL RC KLBG.
Anyway, by attaching KLBG to SCR, no additional zone confusion. All trains from South have to go via SCR to CR area, and instead of Wadi, change of zone will happen at KLBG. That's all.

If this starts from Mys. Gdg - Sur region will loose good amount of quota. Just like very less quota now on Ypr- Bkn/Bme expresses.
Just see how SR manages Tirunelveli Jamnagar train in their territory. From TEN upto Kasaragod is in GNWL towards Jamnagar. KCVL to PNVL is GNWL for Rishikesh train.

Agree but Udyan is already having RSA with Siddeshwar exp. Hpt - Mumbai exp is having RSA with Koyna exp. CR may not entertain now.
Udyan and CSMT HPT can have RSA. CSMT HPT can go to Bangalore.
Siddeshwar and Koyna can be with RSA in CR.
Udyan can leave SBC by 2230 and reach CSMT by 1900. Can leave as CSMT HPT SBC SF at 2130 and reach HPT by 1130 SBC by 2030.

2 hours for 20 kms is because of three zone mess. Reduce one zone (SR) from the scene, everything will be ok.
SBHR to MAQ should take max 90 minutes for a long distance train. So SBHR 0615 MAQ 0745/ 0800 UD 0930 MRDW 1130 should be possible. Similarly, MRDW 1600 MAQ 2000 SBHR 2130 HAS 0100 MYS 0400 SBC 0630 SMVT 0730 should be possible.
