Express to Run Normal Mode

Ministry of Railways have decided to revert the trial run of Train no 12127 / 12128 CSMT Mumbai – Pune – CSMT Mumbai Intercity Express from Push-Pull mode to Normal mode with effect from 21.11.2019. Henceforth the train will run as per its original timings published in Western Zone Public Time Table – 2019 July issue from 21.11.2019. The original timings are as under –

12127 Intercity express will leave CSMT Mumbai at 06.40 hrs daily with effect from 21.11.2019 and arrive Pune 09.57 hrs.
12128 Intercity express will leave Pune at 17.55 hrs daily with effect from 21.11.2019 and arrive CSMT Mumbai at 21.05 hrs.

The Pull push technique on intercity express is a total failure. This train was diverted after MONKEY HILL to a another track- (used by goods trains) which is empty. This route after MONKEY HILL STATION l till KARJAT has plenty of zig-zag curves and so by the time the train reaches Karjat station, it was ALWAYS -20-25 minutes late. NOw when train reaches Karjat-some EMU locomotives which come from Khopali were allowed to run before Intercity as a result-Intercity Express never reached CST in time-.
NIce atleast old timings of Intercity express has been implemented. so that one can reach destinantion in time.

When the train used to reach destination in time, the engine used was WAP -7. Subsequently railways have removed WAP-7 and now Deccan Queen is pulled by some old model of engine (which is totally no comparision to high speed WAP-7).
Unless WAP-7 or WAP-4 pulls DEccan Queen, same problem of late arrival will continue.

The train can still reach destination Mumbai in evening at reduced departure time from Pune i.e 18-40 hrs from Pune to Mumbai instead of 17-55 presently. For this, the Intercity express needs to be run along the old train route from Monkey hill to Khopali ( this will avoid zig zag curves present -if train is taken on different route from Monkey Hill to Khopoli).

Still if train is diverted from Khopoli to Mumbai vai -Khopoli-Panvel section, many New Mumbai traveller s can tae advantage- Also train will be non stop

What is mean to say is that the intercity express must adopt a route after Monkey hill to KARJAT (not khopoli-wrongly typed) along the old route of Lonavala-Monkey Hill-Thakurwadi-Jambrug-KARJAT-kalyan-Thane-Dadad-CST. The WAP 7 or WAP 4 engine can easily travel the distance of 192 kms between Pune and CSTM and reach destination in time.

to reduce further time in reaching destination, the train rout eof Intercity express need to be changed as follows;

Pune-Lonavla-Monkey Hill_Thakurwadi-Karjat- PANVEL-Thane-Dadar CST.

(ie the intercity Express after reaching Karjat- mus be DIVERTED via Panvel to Thane-Dadar-CST) Karjat-to Panvel is just 26 kms and this distance can be covered in 25 minutes. A stop at PANVEL for JUST TWO (2) MINUTES can be given for alighting purposes for residents of NAVI Mumbai.
Thereafter Panvel-to Thane in another 30 minutes an d from THANE to CST in 40 minutes.

Railways must consider changing the route of Intercity express via PANVEL.

रतलाम से फतेहाबाद होते हुए लक्ष्मीबाई नगर (इंदौर) तक बिछी रेल लाइन के विद्युतीकरण का काम लगभग पूरा हो गया है। रेलवे जल्द ही इसे चार्ज करने की तैयारी कर रहा है। इसके बाद पश्चिम रेलवे परिक्षेत्र के कमिश्नर रेलवे सेफ्टी (सीआरएस) रेल लाइन का निरीक्षण कर उक्त रूट पर बिजली इंजन से यात्री ट्रेन चलाने की अनुमति देंगे। उम्मीद है कि उनका दौरा जल्द होगा। तब तक विद्युतीकरण संबंधी बचे छोटे काम पूरे कर लिए जाएंगे।

किलोमीटर लंबी इस रेल लाइन के विद्युतीकरण पर रेलवे ने लगभग 98 करोड़ रुपए की रकम खर्च की है। रतलाम-फतेहाबाद-इंदौर रेल लाइन के बड़ी लाइन में बदलने के बाद से उसके विद्युतीकरण का इंतजार हो रहा था। तत्कालीन लोकसभा स्पीकर सुमित्रा महाजन के आग्रह के बाद रेल मंत्रालय से मंजूर हुआ और अब पूरा हो सका है। फिलहाल इस रूट पर कई यात्री, सुपरफास्ट और एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन चलती हैं, जिन्हें विद्युतीकरण के बाद बिजली इंजन से चलाया जा सकेगा। इससे ट्रेनों की गति बढ़ेगी और यात्रा समय घटेगा। सूत्रों की मानें तो जुलाई में कभी भी सीआएस से उक्त लाइन का निरीक्षण करने की अनुमति जल्द मांगी जाएगी।
चल सकेंगी ईएमयू और मेमू ट्रेन
फिलहाल रतलाम-फतेहाबाद-इंदौर-महू के बीच आठ डेमू ट्रेन चलाई जा रही हैं। विद्युतीकरण के बाद उन्हें ईएमयू (इलेक्ट्रिकल मल्टीपल यूनिट) या मेमू (मेनलाइन इलेक्ट्रिकल मल्टीपल यूनिट) ट्रेनों में बदला जा सकेगा। इससे रेलवे की लागत भी घटेगी, क्योंकि रतलाम मंडल में डीजल की खपत घटेगी। इसके अलावा इस रूट से चलने वाली अजमेर-रामेश्वरम हमसफर एक्सप्रेस, इंदौर-दिल्ली सराय रोहिल्ला साप्ताहिक एक्सप्रेस, रतलाम-इंदौर-ग्वालियर/भिंड एक्सप्रेस, इंदौर-अजमेर एक्सप्रेस जैसी ट्रेनों को डीजल के बजाय डीजल इंजन से चलाने का रास्ता साफ होगा। रतलाम से आगे नीमच-चंदेरिया की तरफ भी रेल लाइन के विद्युतीकरण का काम हो रहा है, इसलिए उक्त सेक्शन से होकर गुजरने वाली ट्रेनों को राजस्थान तक बिजली लाइन मिलेगी।
उद्घाटन के लिए आ सकते हैं मंत्री
रेलवे के आधिकारिक सूत्रों का कहना है कि अक्टूबर तक फतेहाबाद-उज्जैन के बीच बिछाई गई बड़ी रेल लाइन का काम भी पूरा होने की उम्मीद है। तब तक रतलाम-फतेहाबाद-इंदौर रेल लाइन के विद्युतीकरण संबंधी तमाम औपचारिकताएं पूरी हो जाएंगी। संभव है कि केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री या रेल राज्यमंत्री के हाथों दोनों प्रोजेक्टों का लोकार्पण एक साथ कराया जाए।

Mumbai: Three coaches of Howrah Mail train (via Nagpur) derailed in the wee hours of Sunday morning near Igatpuri railway station.
Security forces were immediately pressed into services, However, the cause of the derailment has not been identified as yet. 
No casualties have been reported so far. Services have been affected as 12 trains on the route are cancelled and further details are awaited.

I would request railway authrities to , if possible, kindly make this route 'DOUBLE LINE' instead of single line presently. if this route is made double line, frequency of train can be increased and more tourist will visit Matheran.

Rrauilways -with some provision in rail budget-must take steps to convert this exisitng track a Double line. Since narrow guage is there and distance between matheran and Neral- small- this project can be completed within one year.
