Why old coaches are attached for this train ? Sad to see this.. No proper newly manufactured LHB Coaches.
What old coaches sir ?
First EOG is 2022 made second EOG is 2023 made, all three GS coaches are 2024 made, seven SL coaches are 2024 made and last SL is 2019 made.
One AC 3 tier and all three economy AC coaches are 2022 made. One AC 3 tier in Humsafar livery is 2019 made and one AC 3 tier is 2013 made whereas the AC 2 tier is 2014 made.

Yes. You're right. There are some 2024 mfd coaches attached. But other coaches are mfd in different years, which were already used by the other trains.
From this train's POV, they are old coaches. This is what I meant to say.
Many trains are getting newly mfd LHB Coaches during the conversion. But this train got old-new coaches. Atleast for the sake of inaugural run, they should have attached all the 2024 mfd coaches.

SWR didn't get any new 3AC coaches since a year now. But consider the scenario till mid of February last year not even a single LHB passenger train touched VSG railway station. Now you see VSG yard is full of LHB coaches and now VSG YPR is the only remaining M/E train with ICF coaches maintained at Vasco coaching depot. That's a thing to be happy of. Also this is the first REGULAR LHB train for Velankanni railway station.
Out of 20 coaches this train has 11 brand new 23/24 made coaches. Secondly there are other LHB trains running with SWR too so some brand new coaches will go to those trains too it's pretty obvious. New coaches should be distributed...

Unfortunately due to some issue my camera app got closed while capturing the last few coaches so couldn't capture the whole train 🥲🥺 sorry for that guys.

Chennai train will automatically get LHB rake coz of RSA with this one.
After LHB conversion of this train now VSG YPR express is the only remaining ICF M/E train of VSG CDO.
That's Amazing actually, considering not much trains originates or terminate at Velankanni !! Having a LHB train originate and terminate is like patting it on the back for just having it !!

AC economy coaches marked as B4 to B6. So people booking tickets in 3AC may get seats in economy coaches.
A2 should' be added 8 AC and 8 SL would be perfect combination. Inspite of Monday morning dep full occupancy. Have to see sectional occupancy.
Most of the train gets filled at MAO itself. It is a pilgrimage train to velankanni shrine for goa.
