But SC Raj was 'extended' to SBC to increase the SBC Raj's frequency to 4 times a week. Till 1996, SBC Raj was a weekly train, sharing a slot with the TVC Raj (which was an extension of MAS Raj). Mr Shariff's parliamentary constituency was (the then)Bangalore. I think it was the third Rajdhani introduced in India after Howrah and (the then)Bombay Rajdhanis. Bangalore-Guntakal gauge conversion was completed in 1983 itself and Guntakal-Secunderabad was completed in 1998.
