धनबाद : कतरास-निचितपुर रेल लाइन पर यात्री ट्रेनों के परिचालन को लेकर 22 नवंबर को फैसले की उम्मीद है. इस रेल खंड के निरीक्षण के लिए कमिश्नर ऑफ रेलवे सेफ्टी राम कृपाल धनबाद आ रहे हैं. निरीक्षण के उपरांत वह निर्णय लेंगे की इस रेल खंड पर ट्रेन का परिचालन संभव है या नहीं. यदि सब कुछ ठीक रहा तो सीआरएस की अनुमति मिल जायेगी और उसके बाद ट्रेन का परिचालन शुरू हो जायेगा. निरीक्षण के दौरान धनबाद रेल मंडल प्रबंधक अनिल कुमार मिश्र सहित अन्य अधिकारी भी साथ होंगे. अब तक चलती थी मालगाड़ी कतरासगढ़-निचितपुर रेल मार्ग पर पिछले कई दशक से सिर्फ मालगाड़ियों का परिचालन ही होता था. इस कारण इस रेल मार्ग पर मंडल का ज्यादा ध्यान नहीं रहता था. लेकिन डीसी रेल लाइन बंद होने के बाद कतरास पूरी तरह से ट्रेन मार्ग से कट गया. ऐसे में कतरास को रेल मार्ग से जोड़ने के लिए धनबाद रेल मंडल...
ने इस मार्ग पर यात्री ट्रेनों के परिचालन की पहल की और इसीआर जीएम से अनुमति मिल गयी. धनबाद रेल मंडल ने पिछले दो माह से इस रेल मार्ग पर युद्ध स्तर पर कार्य किया. रेलवे ट्रैक के साथ ही सिग्नल, केबल, ओवर हेड तार, पैनल सहित अन्य कार्य किये गये.  दिसंबर के अंत तक चलेगी मेमू ट्रेन डीआरएम अनिल कुमार मिश्र ने बताया कि कतरासवासियों के लिए यह मार्ग वरदान साबित होगा. वहां की जनता को रांची के लिए मेमू ट्रेन मिल जायेगी. मेमू ट्रेन दिसंबर माह के अंत तक चलेगी, जो प्रतिदिन एक फेरा लगायेगी. यह ट्रेन गोमो होते हुए चंद्रपुरा जायेगी.  मेमू ट्रेन  में दोनों तरफ इंजन रहने के कारण गोमो में इंजन बदलने का झंझट नहीं रहेगा और ट्रेन नियमित चलेगी. रेल अधिकारियों ने बताया कि कतरास-निचितपुर रेल मार्ग पर मेमू ट्रेन के परिचालन होते ही निचितपुर हॉल्ट का कायाकल्प हो जायेगा. हॉल्ट के विस्तार के साथ अन्य सुविधाएं बहाल की जायेगी.

The 3.2km Escorts Mujesar-Ballabhgarh section — which is an extension to the operational Violet Line (Kashmere Gate-Escorts Mujesar) of Delhi Metro— will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a video conference before being thrown open to public.
From Monday, residents will be able to travel right till Ballabhgarh on Delhi Metro’s Violet Line with DMRC ready to throw open the Escorts Mujesar-ballabhgarh extension of the line for public use from 5pm.
Before it opens for public, the 3.2km section — which is an extension to the operational
Violet Line (Kashmere Gate-Escorts Mujesar) — will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a video conference. After its opening, the Kashmere Gate– ballabhgarh corridor will be 46.6km long. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has named the ballabhgarh station as Raja Nahar Singh Metro station.
With the opening of the extension, Ballabhgarh will become the fourth city in Haryana to get Metro connectivity after Gurugram, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh.
“We have made arrangements of LED screens at Raja Nahar Singh Metro station for public viewing of the flagging-off ceremony”, said Dharminder Singh, administrator, Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP).
Faridabad assistant commissioner of police (traffic) Devender Singh said that there will be restrictions on heavy vehicles on the Faridabad-Gurugram road from 6am to 6pm on Monday. The restriction will be because Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the Kundli-Manesar section of Rs 6,434 crore Western Peripheral Expressway at Sultanpur.
The DMRC said after opening of this section, the total length of Metro in Haryana will become 29 km. “All trains running on this section are manufactured in India. A peak hour frequency of six minutes and 48 seconds will be maintained on this section between Badarpur and Raja Nahar Singh on weekdays,” the DMRC said in a statement.
It added that the line will be ‘extremely crucial’ from the point of view of connectivity for the city of Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, southeast Delhi and central Delhi areas.
“People from areas such as Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Daryaganj and even ITO will get a direct line to reach ballabhgarh. Ballabhgarh is an upcoming urban settlement which is an industrial city. Large numbers of people travel everyday for their professional requirements from Ballabhgarh to Delhi and vice-versa,” the DMRC added.
The Raja Nahar Singh Metro station of this section will be integrated with the Ballabhgarh Railway station and the interstate bus terminal of Ballabhgarh with a foot overbridge, which is currently under construction.

Escorts Mujesar to Ballabgarh Metro stretch to open today
Now, commuting will be smoother and relaxing for around 2 lakhs people residing in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) as the much-awaited 3.2 kilometre (km) extension of the Violet will be finally thrown open to public on Monday.
The new Escorts Mujesar to Ballabgarh section will be flagged off to the public by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi via remote control. 
the section will be operation, commuting will be easier for around 2.14 lakhs of people residing in Faridabad, Ballabgarh, South-East Delhi and Central Secretariat. After Faridabad, Bahadurgarh and Gurugram, Ballabgarh will be the fourth city in Haryana to be connected by metro, taking the total length of the Metro to 29 kilometres,” said a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) official.
The extended section will have two elevated stations at Sant Surdas (Sihi) and Raja Nahar Singh. Moreover, Raja Nahar Singh station will also be integrated with the Ballabgarh Railway station and interstate bus terminal Ballabgarh directly with a Foot over Bridge (FOB) which currently under construction. 
The two new elevated stations- Sant Surdas and Raja Nahar Singh will extremely be beneficial to people residing in Ballabgarh which is developing fast, scores of people who reside in the area travel on a daily basis to and fro Delhi for work.
“Both the stations are located on the side of National Highway-II and will be connected to the other side of Highway with Foot Over Bridges (FoB). This station is having parking on the other site of the National Highway-2 which will be directly connected to the station via FOB. The Sant Surdas (Sihi) Station is situated near NCB (National Council for Cement and Building Material Institute),” added the official.  
Further the officials said that a peak hour frequency of six minutes and 48 seconds will be maintained on this section between Badarpur and Raja Nahar Singh on weekdays.
A total of 40 trains will be operational on this entire section. After the opening of this extension, the entire Kashmere Gate - Raja Nahar Singh Metro corridor will become 46.6 kilometres long with having 34 stations. The entire length of the metro network is 314 km.

हरियाणा: प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने सोमवार यानी आज बल्लभगढ़ से एस्कॉर्ट्स मुजेसर के बीच मेट्रो का उद्घाटन किया। गुरुग्राम के सुल्तानपुर से वीडियो कांफ्रेंसिंग के जरिए इसका शुभारंभ किया गया। इसी के साथ बल्लभगढ़ से कश्मीरी गेट तक मेट्रो से अब आप 75 मिनट में पहुंच सकेंगे। अभी तक लोगों को ढाई घंटे लगते थे। अभी मेट्रो कश्मीरी गेट से एस्कॉर्ट्स मुजेसर तक ही आती है।

दें कि एस्कॉर्ट्स मुजेसर के आगे संत सूरदास सीही और राजा नाहर सिंह (बल्लभगढ़) दो मेट्रो स्टेशन बनाए गए हैं। इनकी दूरी 3.2 किलोमीटर है। हरियाणा में गुरुग्राम, फरीदाबाद और बहादुरगढ़ के बाद मेट्रो से जुड़ने वाला बल्लभगढ़ चौथा शहर बन गया। बदरपुर और राजा नाहर सिंह स्टेशन के बीच हर छह मिनट पर मेट्रो मिलेगी। सभी मेट्रो जो अब तक एस्कॉर्ट्स मुजेसर तक चल रही हैं, अब राजा नाहर सिंह स्टेशन तक जाएंगी। पूरे कश्मीरी गेट-राजा नाहर सिंह रूट पर 40 मेट्रो चलेंगी।
इससे पहले प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने सुल्तानपुर गांव में वेस्टर्न पेरिफेरल एक्सप्रेस-वे कुंडली-मानेसर-पलवल (केएमपी) भाग का उद्घाटन किया। एक्सप्रेस-वे के इस हिस्से की सौगात  से राजधानी दिल्ली को एक नए रिंग रोड का तोहफा मिला। इससे राजधानी दिल्ली को दो मोर्चों पर बड़ी राहत मिलेगी। पहला चार लाख से अधिक वाहनों को दूसरे राज्यों में जाने के लिए दिल्ली में प्रवेश नहीं करना पड़ेगा। दूसरा, एक्सप्रेस-वे खुलने से दिल्ली के प्रदूषण में करीब 20% तक कमी आएगी।

Train 18, also called T-18, is all set to hit Indian Railways tracks for extensive speed and safety trials from November 19. Train 18 is Indian Railways' first self-propelled engine-less train for inter-city travel.
Train 18, also called T-18, is all set to hit Indian Railways tracks for extensive speed and safety trials from November 19. For the uninitiated, Train 18 is Indian Railways’ first self-propelled engine-less train for inter-city travel. Designed to travel at a maximum speed of 160 kmph, Train 18 is undoubtedly a big step forward towards the future of rail travel in India. With the intent to manufacture world-class self-propelled trains, Indian Railways hopes to gradually replace its premium Shatabdi Express. Financial Express Online has learnt that in
the first phase, RDSO (Research Design and Standards Organisation) will test Train 18 on the Moradabad-Saharanpur route at speeds of 115 kmph. After successfully completing the tests, Train 18 will then be run on the Sawai Madhopur-Kota section of the Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani route. On this section, Train 18 will be tested at speeds of 180 kmph.
According to an RDSO official that Financial Express Online spoke to, the trials of Train 18 will be conducted on both the mainline and Rajdhani-standard tracks. “Train 18 will run at a maximum speed of 160 kmph, but for any new train, we test it at around 10% higher than the proposed maximum speed. So, Train 18 is likely to be tested at around 180 kmph,” the official told Financial Express Online. Incidentally, the only train in India that has hit speeds of 180 kmph is Spain’s Talgo during trials in 2016.
Train 18 will be tested for around 80 days, the official said, adding that once RDSO compiles and analyses data, it will be in a position to give the speed certificate. “During trials, officials of ICF Integral Coach Factory, RDSO, Northern Railway officials and a team of original equipment manufacturers, will be present to fine tune the train’s various software etc,” the official added. Once RDSO gives its nod, the Commission of Railway Safety (CRS) will be approached for a final clearance. Train 18 may also be tested once on the route it will ply on.

India’s first self-propelled train for long distances has been designed and manufactured in a record time of 18 months by ICF, Chennai. While the first prototype has been made at a cost of approximately Rs 100 crore, once economies of scale kick-in, the price will come down to around Rs 80 crore, anticipates ICF. This is around half the cost of a similar import, which ICF says would have cost around Rs 150 crore.
Meanwhile, Train 18 was dead-hauled by a locomotive from Chennai to Delhi. According to ICF, this is the standard procedure for any new type of train, even EMUs. While some reports suggested that the reason for loco-hauling was the failure of some systems on Train 18, ICF has denied this. “The haulage was planned as such as Train 18 is not authorized to move on its own power before completion of trials,” ICF GM Sudhanshu Mani told Financial Express Online. “The train was protected and packed, there is no damage to the train. There was a small incident at the time of attachment to a locomotive in Chennai, which has been addressed satisfactorily. Trials will start shortly in Moradabad,” Sudhanshu Mani added.
