त्योहारी सीजन में यात्रियों की भारी भीड़ के मद्​देनजर रेलवे त्योहार विशेष गाड़ियों का संचालन लगातार बढ़ा रहा है। दिल्ली और बिहार रूट पर रेलवे ने कई ट्रेनों का संचालन शुरू करने का फैसला किया है। 01678- 01677 नई दिल्ली-गया -नई दिल्ली आरक्षित सुपरफास्ट त्योहार विशेष एक्सप्रेस चलाई जाएगी। यह ट्रेन 01678 नई दिल्ली से प्रत्येक सोमवार एवं शुक्रवार 29 अक्तूबर से चलेगी। इसका संचालन 19 नवंबर तक रहेगा। गया से ट्रेन नंबर 01677 प्रत्येक मंगलवार एवं शनिवार 26 अक्तूबर से शुरू होगी जो 20 नवंबर तक चलती रहेगी। इसमें स्लीपर श्रेणी के सात, सामान्य श्रेणी के 11 और एसएलआर के दो कोच होंगे।

(ट.) छठ पूजा त्योहार विशेष ट्रेन का संचालन भी शुरू हो रहा है। पटना से ट्रेन नंबर 03377 शनिवार एवं मंगलवार को चलेगी। इसका संचालन 13 नवंबर से 16 नवंबर तक होगा। आनंद विहार (ट.) से ट्रेन नंबर 03378 रविवार एवं बुधवार चलेगी। संचालन 14 नवंबर से 17 नवंबर तक रहेगा।

Due to Covid-19 lockdown from 22 March last year, train services were stopped completely. Later from 15 June last year, railways began suburban services for essential service categories as identified by the State Government and approved by Ministry of Railways. The categories of commuters who were allowed by the State Government and approved by Ministry of Railways were subsequently enlarged in August 2021 and in recent week to travel in suburban trains.

Presently, CR and WR are running 1702 and 1304 suburban services on Mumbai division of CR and WR respectively which is 95.70% of its total suburban services.

From 28.10.2021, Central and Western Railways will run suburban services to Pre-covid level on Mumbai division of CR and WR i.e. 100% services viz. 1774 on Central Railway and 1367 on Western Railway.

"The decision has been taken considering the increased flow of commuters in local trains," said Shivaji Sutar, chief public relations officer of Central Railway, adding that though the number of suburban services will increase from Thursday, the existing travel restrictions on suburban locals will remain unchanged. 

At present, only the government employees and essential services staffers are allowed to travel on the suburban locals, apart from the fully-vaccinated citizens, who have completed the 14-day period after the second dose and those who are below 18 years.

"The categories of commuters who were allowed by the state government and approved by the Ministry of Railways were subsequently enlarged in August 2021 and in recent weeks, to travel in suburban trains," the statement reads. Suburban locals are considered the lifeline of Mumbai. Nearly 80 lakh passengers used to travel on the suburban locals before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Train numbering 09189 and 09190 during its journey will halt at Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, and Mathura.

The bi-weekly air-conditioned special train will be operating between October 27 and November 29.

Citing rush of commuters, the Indian Railways has announced that they would operate several festive special trains across the country. The Indian Railways on Monday announced a bi-weekly air-conditioned train during the festive season to connect Maharashtra and New Delhi.

According to a senior Indian Railway officer, a bi-weekly air-conditioned special train will be operating between October 27 and November 29 between Bandra Terminus and Nizamuddin railway station.

“The Bandra-Nizamuddin-Bandra air-conditioned bi-weekly special train will make a total of 10 trips on each side during the festive season,” added the officer.

The officer further said that the booking for the Bandra-Nizamuddin-Bandra air-conditioned bi-weekly festive season special train can be made both offline and online.

Kota Railway Division’s senior commercial manager Ajay Kumar Pal said that the train numbering 09189, the Nizamuddin air-conditioned festival special train, will start its journey from Bandra Terminus every Sunday and Wednesday between October 27 to November 28.

The train will start its journey from Bandra Terminus at 5:30 pm and will reach Kota at 4:40 am on the second day of its journey. The train will depart from Kota at 4:45 am and reach Nizamuddin station at 10:15 am on Monday and Thursday.

Pal further said that the train numbering 09190 Nizamuddin-Bandra air-conditioned festive special train will operate between October 28 and November 29. The train will start its journey from Nizamuddin station at 4:30 pm every Thursday and Monday. It will reach Kota around 9:15 pm and depart for Bandra at 9:20 pm. The train will reach Bandra the next day around 9:15 am.

Train numbering 09189 and 09190 during its journey will halt at Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, and Mathura.

As per Pal, the train will have a total of 18 coaches, including 10 air-conditioned third class coaches, six C-chair cars and two coaches of SLR.

साप्ताहिक स्पेशल ट्रेन 30 अक्टूबर से 23 नवंबर तक चलेगी। दीपावली और छठ पूजा में यात्रियों की ट्रेनों में भीड़ और लंबी दूरी की ट्रेनों में बर्थ खाली न हाेने पर रेलवे बोर्ड ने पूजा स्पेशल चलाने का निर्णय लिया है। मुंबई से 09185 पूजा स्पेशल हर शनिवार (30 अक्टूबर और नवंबर में छह, 13 व 20 तारीख को) और भागलपुर से 09186 हर मंगलवार (दो, नौ, 16 व 23 नवंबर) को चलेगी।
मुंबई से शनिवार सुबह 11:05 बजे खुलेगी और भरतपुर, मथुरा, फैजाबाद, कानपुर, पटना, किऊल और मुंगेर होते हुए सोमवार सुबह 10 बजे भागलपुर पहुंचेगी। वहीं भागलपुर से मंगलवार सुबह 5 बजे खुलेगी। 2497 किलोमीटर की दूरी 46.55 घंटे में तय करते हुए गुरुवार सुबह 7:20 बजे मुंबई पहुंचेगी। इस पूजा स्पेशल में पहले 22 कोच शामिल करने की घोषणा की गई थी, जिनमें 12 स्लीपर, एक एसी वन, थ्री एसी तीन, जेनरल बोगी चार व दो एसएलआर शामिल है। लेकिन, अब दो बोगियां कम कर दी गई है। चार की जगह दो जनरल बोगी करने के बाद अब इस ट्रेन में 20 बोगियां ही शामिल की गई है।
विक्रमशिला, दादर, सूरत में भी कंफर्म टिकट नहीं
भागलपुर से दिल्ली आनंद विहार चलने वाली विक्रमशिला एक्सप्रेस, भागलपुर-दादर और भागलपुर सूरत एक्सप्रेस की एससी, स्लीपर कोचों की कन्फर्म आरक्षित टिकट नहीं मिल रही हैं। 30 अक्टूबर तक सीटें फुल हो गई हैं। यही स्थिति दादर, दिल्ली और सूरत सहित भागलपुर आने वाली विक्रमशिला, दादर और सूरत एक्सप्रेस की भी है। 30 अक्टूबर तक इन ट्रेनों के एसी व स्लीपर बोगियों में सीट खाली नहीं है। उक्त ट्रेनों में भीड़ बढ़ने से लोगों की परेशानी बढ़ गई है।
