The permit fee being collected by Railways from taxis at major stations, including Thiruvananthapuram Central, Ernakulam Junction, and Ernakulam Town, for parking on the railway premises does not give any exclusive right for them to carry passengers.
Passengers can contact the station manager/ deputy station manager (commercial) at railway stations if they face any difficulty from the permitted taxi drivers. Stern action, including cancellation of parking permit of taxis, will be taken if they are found violating the permit rules, a railway release said.
