It can not be in 1970s The color photography came to India in 1983 or so....I think it was shot sometime in 1984-85 as even I was travelling in steam engine driven trains till 1985 then steam engines were removed from my area Kota Bina section of IR.
Color photography came in India By march-23rd-1983 exactly and this pic was taken by a foreign tourist who came to India on feb-27th-1977 as the photo sources Indicates
