Why not for Long distance ones as well shall be very useful,may be they can decongest Dadar TT/CSTM as well...
To decongest CSTM/Dadar TT there is LTT :)
Parel is only planned for suburban traffic in order to decongest Dadar, And i think only slow services will originate/terminate there...

sir ji agar parel long distance trains ke liye nahi suburban services ke liye hoga to phir kyu naam de rahe hai parel station ko parel terminus ka ?
Thats known Hussain Bhai but if this is developed it shall be more better also now Dadar TT is having major rake accomdation constraints.If Parel is developed all the trains starting from Dadar TT can start from Parel with high coach capacity and it shall not much of difference in reaching Parel as to Dadar TT...Where as LTT is completely a different entity :)
