Instead of SUR-BJP exp they would have ran it as CSTM - BJP Weekend exp, CR would have got direct bookings(CSTM-BJP, PUNE-BJP, etc) from full journey passengers.
Who will wait in SUR for 2 hrs, we already have 57130 connecting 11305 to BJP daily.

Agree this is smart move by Solapur division to avoid the extension to Gulbarga or bijapur by making it BJP-LTT exp or GR-LTT exp as there were demands to extend it... but this train will simplay waste diesel now and pax wont be benefited .

It was running as SUR-NGP spl in summer, and there was proposal of introduction of bi-weekly SUR-NGP-SUR exp also. Don't know what changed that train to SUR-BJP-SUR exp :o

Right, i remember sometime back there was discussion between CR/SWR for extending 11305/6 to UBL and cancelling/transferring 51029/30 to PVR as 51027/8 daily FP. But as usual things didn't worked properly and SWR started there own train 17321/2 via BJP. Lack of co-ordination and willingness leads to such useless trains
