For Electric loco homing they upgraded KJM DLS which is good but IMO some dedicated Electric shed is stil needed dont know when this will happen...... Yes Doubling is getting delayed and dont know when we will see whole SBC-UBL as double line along with electrification ... :(
What they can do is transfer all EMDs to UBL and keep ALCo and rest as electric locos, anyhow more number of ALCo's are being condemned as more and more EMD are being produced
Yes..... KJM will keep its eloco and mostly condemn all this ALCO and most of the EMD locos of KJM will get shifted to UBL...Because for EMD no other option left for KJM other than transfer to UBL. But EMD production is being seized and also I think rather than making EMD they could utilize the GE locos which is in production still.
But for GE, only Roza shed is authorized to home GE locomotives as of today.And BTW GE as of now makes only diesel goods/freight locos,no passenger locos and KJM is mostly known for EMD Passenger locos
Yeah GE locos are only with ROZA but my views were slowly like ALCO, EMD condition are also becoming like ALCO only POH of HHP Goods loco is stopped. So most likely EMD will be condemn sooner. So only option left for diesel locos is GE locos. Since railways cant condemn GE locos as per agreement as of now because if they condemn GE will start to take penalised amount from IR as far I know. So ROZA and GIMB GE shed would only diesel shed in IR in future may be.
