SWR will never run new train for only Ballari Hospet section to Mumbai so for that reason a Bangalore train should go via these places to Mumbai. Their is no logic in Extension of mini 12 coaches Mumbai Gadag exp upto Ballari as it dont have enough quota to serve Koppal Hospet Ballari places..

Between Bangalore and Mumbai, daily 50 buses are running, covering distance in 17-18 hours. If new SF with proper TT is made, it will help. If it goes in zig Zag like Basava or Golgumbaz, it is of no use for long distance passengers.
Nothing against Ballari.

SWR is known for zig Zag routes/ trains. Basava, Golgumbaz, Hampi, YPR-MAQ via SRR, Island via Kerala, KIK Passenger and wekly Puducherry with multiple loco reversal, MYS MV/TN via Erode. Even SBC Rajdhani not via shorter route.

SWR can takeover Gadag express and run as fill fledged Ballari Mumbai train, with proper quota allocation to Karnataka towns.

Okay I got your concern. You need fastest SF from Bangalore to Mumbai so as per that you are right now. But as you mentioned zig zag trains like Hampi, Golgumbaz, Basava etc Hampi slightly zig zag but what about Golgumbaz exp. It's name itself shows it's major train for Bijapur And also it covers Bagalkot Gadag Hubli.. It's origin from solapur don't consider its important and major for solapur to run it in shorter route via GTL RC Wadi.. SWR taking over Gadag Express and making full fledged train is dream itself. If SWR start new train to Mumbai from Ballari it won't get good TT in CR which in turn makes less useful for more passengers.
