Nashik : Hoodlums allegedly attempted to burn a raisins seller, who had allegedly refused another person from selling raisins on railway trains in Sinnar Phata area near Nashik Road railway station here yesterday.Sachin Amarnath Mahajan (29), a raisins vendor on trains and leader of all vendors, was confronted last night by another vendor Bablu Shaikh and others as to why he was not allowing his (Bablu's)uncle to sell raisins. To which, Sachin allegedly replied that he had the right to decide and would not allow anyone else to sell on trains.This angered Bablu and his friends Rahul Sonawane and Kiran Patil, police said.The trio then hit Mahajan with stones, slashed his back with knives and poured petrol upon him before setting him ablaze. He was rushed to a hospital by onlookers. He suffered 30 to 40 per cent burn injuries and his condition is stated to be serious.Police have registered...
a case in this regard against the culprits and further investigations were on.
