Two occupants — both aged about 30 years — of a car were killed when the Chennai Express, which left Secunderabad in the afternoon, hit the vehicle at an unmanned level-crossing near Chityal railway station on Wednesday evening.One of the victims was identified as Sudhir Paniki, going by his card. The accident took place at Gopalayapalli village, when they were returning after visiting Venugopalaswamy temple.The train is said to have dragged the car to a distance of 1 km. The victims could be employees of a firm involved in the National Highway IX project work. The Government Railway Police are investigating.
