* National level women cricketer travelling unreserved in a train is really a matter of shame!
* Monopoly of a govt organisation in railway sector has resulted in shortage of seats/ berths in trains. History is evidence that all the sectors which had been liberalised & decontrolled, i.e. opened up for the private sector to operate and compete with govt. owned behemoths, scarcity of the products and services have vanished. Be it a telephone connection, aviation-airline seats, power generation and many more.

It depends, but sector like railway is hard to be de monopolised. How other players will operate on the base which is setup by IR.
