Drive among migrants too
A modern society had the responsibility to ensure rehabilitation of the HIV infected and to ensure availability of medicines to them. Awareness drives should cover migrant labourers too, he said.
An awareness programme on AIDS was held at the Alappuzha railway station. Collector Veena N. Madhavan inaugurated the programme, organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Department of Health, and the Railway Division.
Superintendent of Police A.E. Shajahan, District Medical Officer D. Vasanthadas, district mass media officer G. Sreekala, and others spoke.
