A delegation of the Telangana BJP led by its president K. Lakshman met the Union Ministers in Delhi and sought their assistance to clear schemes meant for Telangana at the earliest. The team met HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar and sought establishment of Tribal University and extension of mid-day meal scheme to Intermediate students, apart from new Navodaya Vidyalaya schools. Minister Venkaiah Naidu assured them that assistance would be provided in addition to the 90,000 houses sanctioned to municipalities and cities under the Pradhan Manthri Awas Yojana. Around Rs. 3,300 crore loan was also sanctioned from HUDCO to Telangana. The team met Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and wanted him to complete all pending projects, passenger terminals at Charlapalli and Lingampalli and second phase of MMTS. - Special Correspondent
