CHENNAI: A day after cyclone Vardah ravaged Chennai, Southern Railway cancelled a few trains departing from Chennai Central and Chennai Egmore on Tuesday.
The cancelled trains are:

Southern Railway will operate the following trains on Tuesday.
Train No.12633 Chennai Egmore - Kanniyakumari Express scheduled to leave at 5:30pm
Train No.12661 Chennai Egmore - Sengottai Podhigai Express scheduled to leave at 8:55pm
Train No.12693 Chennai Egmore - Tuticorin Pearl City Express scheduled to leave at 7:30pm
Train No.22661 Chennai Egmore - Rameswaram Sethu Express scheduled to leave at 5:45pmTrain No.16723 Chennai Egmore - Trivandrum Ananthapuri Express scheduled to leave at 7:50pm
Suburban train services on the Chennai Beach - Tambaram - Chengalpet section was restored on Tuesday afternoon. However, only skeletal services will be operated.
The SR operated skeletal suburban services on the Chennai-Arakkonam and Chennai-Gummidipoondi-Sullurpeta stretch on Tuesday.
It would take some more time to restore services on the Chennai Beach - Velachery MRTS section.
