If you've ever tried booking rail tickets from IRCTC's official website, then you probably already know that it's a Herculean task. Yes, they say the website has improved over the year, but there's just no denying that it feels like it was created for the people living in the past.

Thankfully, we have other alternatives out there for booking rail tickets. But more recently, it looks like an IITian, who graduated from IIT Kharagpur, built a rail ticket booking system that was faster than IRCTC. This is the kind of thing you

want to see from the bright minds of IIT pass outs, but IRCTC's chain of thoughts was a little different.

They decided to sue him for that and the app has now landed the IITian in jail. We're talking about S Yuvarajaa, a Tirupur native. He's now in jail for creating what we think is a faster and more efficient solution to book tickets than IRCTC.

His app was called "Super Tatkal" and IRCTC says he bypassed their ticket booking system. IRCTC's argument is that Yuvaraaja wasn't an authorized agent and his solution deprived the chances of getting a ticket for people who use IRCTC.

He was charged under section 143 (2) of the Railway Act for bypassing the railway system and making money illegally. After this incident, a Twitter user who claims to be Yuvaraaja's friend made it a point to note that all the payments were directly made to IRCTC. He said that he was falsely accused.

We're now waiting to see how this whole event unfolds and will have more to talk about this as soon as we get more info.

Unless there were any security vulnerabilities , speed alone cannot be a valid reason for arrest. Many security features might have been compromised, due to which booking might have been faster. These details should be made public.
