I completely agree, in my opinion, what they should've done was just expand and build up on the existing Vasai Road station as this station has the ability to provide service for both trains using the western and central railway.

Vasai Road is the best option to decongest the WR network. As on today, approximately 50% people board / alight at BORIVALI in case of Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat and UP Etc. Travelling by WR Trains.
