A technical team was waiting at the platform and decided to attach an additional engine after inspecting the train. The train finally departed at 6:32 PM, a total of 77 minutes behind schedule. Operating department sources confirmed the faulty engine was from Itarsi and will be detached from the train in Itarsi.
