Gorakhpur station management has proposed this expansion to the Lucknow division, who are already preparing for it. The change will benefit passengers on stations between Gorakhpur and Barhani, and reduce the load on Gorakhpur platform. This is because Gorakhpur station experiences significant pressure from the increasing number of trains. The station management is planning to extend the terminating points of some trains to other stations, easing the load on Gorakhpur. Daily, 8-10 coaches become unfit due to washing and repairs, requiring maintenance on the sick line. The mentioned trains often block the line for hours due to maintenance in Gorakhpur: Train number 20103 (Gorakhpur-LTT) for 11 hours, 11081 (Gorakhpur-LTT) for 14 hours, 11037 (Gorakhpur-Pune) for 15 hours, 13507 (Gorakhpur-Asansol) for 15 hours, 19409 (Gorakhpur-Ahmedabad) for 12 hours, and 11055 (Gorakhpur-LTT) for 10 hours.

Is badlav se Gorakhpur aur Barhani ke beech padne wale darjano stations ke yaatriyon ko in trainon ki suvidha milegi aur Gorakhpur ke platform par bhi kam bheed hogi. Aisa isliye hai kyunki Gorakhpur station par lagatar trainon ka dabav badhta ja raha hai. Station management Gorakhpur se terminate hone wali trainon ko aage ke stations par badhane ka plan bana raha hai. Is plan se dusre stations par trainon ka vikalp badh jaayega aur Gorakhpur junction se trainon ka load bhi kam ho jaayega. Is suvidha ko shuru karne ke liye sick line ka hona zaruri hai. Ab jab ki woh ban gayi hai, toh jaldi hi Gorakhpur se trainon ka bojh kuchh had tak kam ho jaayega. Rozana 8-10 coaches dhulai aur marammat ke dauran unfit ho jaate hain. Un unfit bogiyon ko sick line mein hi maintain kiya jaata hai. Yeh trainon ko Gorakhpur mein ghanto line block karni padti hai, jaise ki Train number 20103 (Gorakhpur-LTT) 11 ghanto ke liye, 11081 (Gorakhpur-LTT) 14 ghanto ke liye, 11037 (Gorakhpur-Pune) 15 ghanto ke liye, 13507 (Gorakhpur-Asansol) 15 ghanto ke liye, 19409 (Gorakhpur-Ahmedabad) 12 ghanto ke liye, aur 11055 (Gorakhpur-LTT) 10 ghanto ke liye.
