Since the establishment of the state, work has accelerated in the areas of road and railway connectivity. However, several projects, which have been demanded for decades, have not yet materialized. From the Tanakpur to Haridwar route via Kandi to the Bageshwar-Tanakpur railway line, many villages are still waiting for road access.
