So much focus on design, architecture!? Simultaneously, IR should develop terminals and introduce token / pass / ticket entry systems as in other station of world standards often envisaged in India. Entire stations should be designed to prevent trespassing instead of recreating the stations once in a decade or so. Even Kenya has such system, of course because of Chinese funding and development of the newly constructed Nairobi - Mombasa line. For a country like India, it will be financally viable.
Delhi Metro is a solid classic example of how India abides by the rule and travel since the start of millennium. Everything is possible with proper utilisation of resources.

When half the travelling passengers are illiterate, then how can you expect such a thing to happen in India ? Even if they build some of them, there's a slim chance that they would be the machine at the same place, next day.

Not that complete set of illiterates travel daily. And this is the biggest issue amongst us, that how can we expect such a thing to happen!? There should be an institutional level change and at personal level (Ofcourse possible in India) And let's hope it happens some day.
Enforcement is the available option as of now; GRPs can be easily used to enforce. With capacity addition, they can efficiently be used. It is
