from McRobertganj to Nayaganj and Nayaganj to Kanpur Central. UPMRC is now installing the third rail on the 'downline'. Construction continues on the elevated Baradevi-Naubasta section and at underground stations. The ballast-less tracks, third rail, derailment guards, and mass spring system are designed to improve stability, reduce maintenance, minimize noise and vibrations, and enhance passenger experience. UPMRC Managing Director Sushil Kumar reviewed the progress.
