The revised Detailed Project Report (DPR), prepared by RINA Consultancy for BMRCL, faced delays due to alignment changes, particularly at Hebbal station (changed from underground to elevated to avoid conflicts with other projects and land acquisition issues), and conflicts with other infrastructure projects like BBMP's elevated corridor and tunnel projects. The DPR requires clearance from the Institute of Urban Transportation, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, and ten central departments before final Union Cabinet approval, with completion potentially between June 2025 and December 2025.
