There should be no railway tracks passing though forests. In recent times the number of deaths of wild animals esp. Elephants have increased. No permission should be granted to construct railway line passing through a forest; When no choice left, an elevated track section with frequent underpasses must be provided.

Dont be silly sir...
According to wildlife protection act and environment protection act of india 1972..
Any road or railway track passing through a forest or any sanctuary or Reserve shouldnt be fenced because it will put restrictions on the movement and life of wild animals ..and thus failing to provide a natural area for animals and that is very much important ..
thats y every railway tracks or roads which r passing through forest and all are not fenced it kaziranga ...asom area , saurashtra or bandavgarh ,etc..
I am agree that roads sholdnt be made through forests but i am against fencing the railway tracks ...

fair enough, no railway line or road should be constructed in a forest, and if it is then may be it should be elevated on planks for animals to be able to cross from below

Totally disagree
In interior area of forests many people live in terrible condition with no access to school hospital and other basic things.... For their benefit we need to build railway otherwise they will never develop

It's a solution, but it relies on animals thinking like us and taking underpasses, overpasses etc, which is not quite possible. And besides, if the track is fenced for several kilometres, eventually some of the larger animals would just try to get over it and get stuck on the tracks, or just push it out of the way on to the tracks. For existing forest routes, we can try fencing nd patrolling, but in future at least some new practice has to come up. As it is , vast areas of forests have vanished till now. And now, we are again trying to put railway tracks and highways through the remaining tiny areas of forest that have been left free of human interference so far.

train routes can get through from forest you or we can stop it as this is human need but there are many other ways for animals that can be taken from our end to protect them. and don't think an underpass is a bad idea for them. and under pass can be use for them as shelter. So my frnd don't think that underpass will be just under pass that can be use as shelter also for animals. hope u unerstand what I mean.
