The general manager of NE Railway, Rajiv Mishra, said, “Along with seven small bridges and two bigger ones, the broad gauge was completed at a cost of Rs 180 crore. The length of the railway track is 39.3 kilometers. Another gauge conversion work is in progress on a 62.77km long railway track between Bhojipura and Tanakpur.” After a proposal put forward by Amitabh Agnihotri, vice president of the Wildlife Biodiversity Conservation Society, Gandhi also announced that a new express train named Pilibhit Tiger Express will be operational between Pilibhit and New Delhi.
