For CAPE to Mumbai, it is better to extend Netravati. Jayanti Janata can start from TVC. It would be a win win for all, as NCJ CSMT connects 6 days a week to Pune and Netravati can connect NCJ CAPE to Mumbai via Konkan. No maintenance or any other such issues as there is no additional load on either TVC or CAPE

Dumbest association ,opposing weekly to daily joke ,if they don't want better terminate at tvc
Cape itself a dumping yard of tn trains location is such that tvc trains in name of connectivity or dumping purpose its used
Every train can't serve tn areas from cape
They have good connectivity from tpj,ms to north, east ,etc they can board from there

Jayanti Janata ( CAPE Mumbai) in any case will no longer be going to Mumbai. In the new TT it will be short terminated at Pune. Highly unlikely that Netravathi will be extended to CAPE. This proposal was sent earlier as well but rejected. One of the MAQ TVC trains might be extended though to CAPE

What is the use of sending a train which runs 95% distance in Kerala to MAQ and CAPE? Such a decision prevents introduction of useful trains to originating/ termination states.
MAQ is overloaded with Kerala and Tamil Nadu trains, with no space for even a single train to Karnataka towns. Situation in CAPE will not be different.
