Shri Ram Kripal, IRSSE (Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers) took charge as the Commissioner of Railway Safety, South Central Circle, Secunderabad today i.e. 21st November 2016. He is an IRSSE officer of 1982 batch and holds a Graduate Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and a Masters Degree in Computer Science, besides a Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Engineering, all from the University of Roorkee (presently IIT-Roorkee).
He carries a vast experience of over three decades in Railways, having served in various capacities, starting from his first posting o­n North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur in 1984. Shri Ram Kripal has worked in various capacities in Sonepur, Varanasi, Izatnagar and Lucknow divisions of North Eastern Railway up to 1998, and then in Vadodara and
Ahmedabad of Western Railway for four years. Thereafter, he served o­n North Western Railway, East Central Railway besides at Indian Railway Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunication (IRISET), Secunderabad. Later he worked as Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer, North Western Railway, Jaipur.
Shri Ram Kripal has been involved in various signal and telecom related activities including maintenance and execution of major Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) projects. He was associated with several telecom projects like Commissioning and Maintenance of Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) network. He has also undergone training abroad in Hong Kong, Italy and Germany in advanced signaling. He is also the recipient of meritorious service awards from General Manager and Chairman Railway Board, during the course of his service.
Shri Ram Kripal was an active member of Scouts and Guides and has received the prestigious Silver Star & Silver Elephant awards at the hands of Hon’ble President of India.
