1. on 18.10.2021 officers and staff of RPF Post/Madhupur and GRP/Madhupur apprehended a person while he was trying to stole a motor bike from the premises of Madhupur Railway station. The arrested person and the seized motorbike were handed over to GRP/Madhupur for further necessary action.
2. on 18.10.2021, officers and staff of RPF/North Post/Howrah rescued a missing minor girl while she was found roaming aimlessly on platform no. 9 at Howrah Rly. Station and secured at RPF post. on interrogation it was understood that she fled away from her home due to family discord. Later she was handed over to her mother in presence of officers and staff of Purbo Yadavpur Police Station after proper verification and documentation.
3. on 16.10.2021, acting on information of Station Master, Kalipahari Railway Station, Officers and staff RPF East Post, Asansol has rescued an injured male person identified as train Guard of a Goods train from the premises of Kalipahari Railway Station. He was injured by an unknown train while returning from duty. Necessary assistance was rendered and he was shifted to Railway hospital, Asansol for treatment.
4. on 18.10.2021, Officers and staff of RPF Post, Bandel has recovered an unclaimed mobile phone worth of Rs. 10,000/- from platform no. 2 near RPF Assistance Booth of Bandel Railway Station. It was handed over to its owner after proper verification and documentation.
Due to 04 days Non-Interlocking work in connection with the commissioning of double line between Bhattanagar & Baltikuri stations, Traffic & Power Block with duration ranging from 120 minutes/day to 180 minutes/day has been planned from 23.10.2021 (Saturday) to 26.10.2021 (Tuesday) .
Consequently, the following trains will be diverted via Howrah-Andul-Kharagpur and vice versa as under:

·05906 Dibrugarh - Kanyakumari Special Express (JCO 23.10.2021) with stoppage at Dankuni
·02515 Coimbatore - Silchar Special Express (JCO 24.10.2021) with stoppage at Dankuni
As a step forward for more convenience of passengers in clear viewing of the reservation status at station premises, Eastern Railway has installed a Digital Passenger Reservation Chart Board at Howrah station, platform no. 9. This digital reservation chart board will also generate non-fare revenue for Railways in addition to the main purpose of informing passengers about reservation status.
This reservation chart board at Howrah station is a combination of 8 nos. of 50 inch LED television in which reservation chart will be displayed on 04 televisions and advertisements will be displayed on other 04 televisions. The entire display system will be maintained by an agency and will pay Railways for the advertisements displayed thus generating non-fare revenue of ₹43.93 lakh per year as license fee.
Gradually such system of Digital Passenger Reservation Chart Board will be extended to other platforms in phase-wise manner.
This digital charting is an environment friendly method of display of passenger reservation chart as it will reduce consumption of paper & thereby will be eco-friendly. This digital charting system is a real time display and has enhanced visibility of reservation chart, bringing more convenience and clarity for the passengers.
