I am talking about 160 kmph . Till now i think no train running at 160 kmph in IR. Is it running?
Also few trains that started running at 130 kmph are running in almost vacant tracks as all regular passengers trains r Cancelled now. When everything will return back to normal and all trains will be back on track, the load on tracks will increase. Is RB prepared enough with modern technology fitted on Locos and Tracks to detect flaws when trains will run at 160 kmph? I don't think any loco pilot can see tracks clearly at 160 kmph speed. Technologies to be used. What about Automatic Train Warning System proposed in i think way back in 2010-11 Railway Budget

( i don't remember exactly the year), some trails done in NFR,but whats present status of that i don't know?
Only track upgradation and replacing SL Coaches with AC coaches will not work in a hugely populated country like India, specially in tracks passing through some densely populated states like Bihar, UP, WB, etc. Either Entire track fencing required or/and modern technology is required to be fitted in Locos and Tracks to detect any flaws or detect any unwanted things on tracks and warn loco pilots and also stop trains accordingly automatically if needed. This kind of works needed all over IR where RB wants to run trains at 160 kmph. Otherwise, there is danger. OR it will remain as another way of making public fool like RB is doing now in the name of Mission Raftar. End-to-end travel time is remaining same , only 10 minutes increase in one year Timetable and 5 mins decrease in next year timetable in the name of speedup from 110 kmph to 130 kmph. Nothing visible on ground.

Nothing will happen. It is just another gimik. Their main moto is to replace Sleeper coaches with AC Coaches and earn more money. Nothing will be seen in reality. Ultimately 5 to 10 mins travel time will be increased in these years timetables, and that time will get reduced then giving reason of 160 kmph speed upgradation nothing else. Don't expect overall average speed of these train after conversion to full AC will be between 130 to 160 kmph.

Rail users in coastal Karnataka who are upset with the Railway Board’s decision to cancel the existing Bengaluru-Karwar overnight express to introduce the Yeshwantpur-Karwar express are mulling filing a contempt plea in the High Court of Karnataka against the Railways.
The board, on March 6, ordered cancellation of Train Nos. 16513-14/ 16523-24 Bengaluru-Karwar Express via Kunigal and via Mysuru, respectively, that were operated as combined

services with the Bengaluru-Kannur overnight express upon insistence from Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (KRCL). This was done while announcing a dedicated train between Bengaluru and Karwar bypassing Mangaluru region via the Padil bypass.
Vivek Nayak from Kundapura Railu Prayanikara Hitarakshana Vedike pointed out that the Bengaluru-Mangaluru-Kannur overnight express was ordered to be extended to Karwar by the High Court in 2012.
Advocate Shankar Bhat and others filed a PIL petition before the High Court after the Railway Board decided to extend the Bengaluru-Mangaluru overnight express to Kannur, ignoring the Inter-Railway Timetable Committee’s recommendation in 2009 to extend it to Karwar. South Western Railway (SWR) then decided to bifurcate the train at Mangaluru Central and run one portion each to Kannur and Karwar from November 1, 2012.
When SWR did not introduce a direct train to Karwar after the Bengaluru-Hassan new line was opened in 2017, again people had to approach the High Court. On the PIL petition of Sanjay Revankar from Kadwad near Karwar, SWR decided to run the existing Bengaluru-Kannur/Karwar overnight express on four days via Kunigal and three days via the old route of Mysuru.
‘Policy violated’
Rail fan Kundapura Gautam Shetty of Bengaluru said the Railway Board had violated its own policy of consulting users before cancelling any existing train. The board or KRCL cannot assume that the existing train would lose patronage with the introduction of the new train, as both cater to different sets of passengers, he argued.
S. Yogendra Swamy from Mysuru Grahaka Parishat said the cancellation had snatched coastal connectivity from travellers in Ramanagaram, Mandya and Mysuru, thereby violating the Railways policy of not cancelling services without any alternative.
MP for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Shobha Karandlaje too had expressed displeasure with the cancellation during the flagging off ceremony at Yeshwantpur on Saturday morning.

Railway Board has asked zones to convert all Rajdhani services to Push-Pull configuration by March 2020. The Board has expressed concern on the slow progress on this front and has asked zones to ensure compliance with deadlines.
This is one of the measures being taken by the Indian Railways to speed up its premium train services. Work on upgrading the Mumbai-New Delhi and the New-Delhi Howrah corridors to 160 kph is also underway.
Eastern Railway has committed to convert both the Howrah and Sealdah Rajdhanis to Push-Pull by 31st March 2020.
However, only services that run on electric traction for the entire journey are likely to switch to Push-Pull mode. So far, only electric locomotives of WAP-7 and WAP-5 classes have been modified to operate in Push-Pull mode.
28 WAP-5 and 69 WAP-7 class locomotives are Push-Pull compliant as of now. More locomotives of these classes are likely to be converted over the next few months to ensure adequate availability for all three categories of trains.
Not All Services To Go Push-Pull So Soon
As of now, the Mumbai Rajdhani group, the Howrah Rajdhani group, Patna Rajdhani, Bengaluru Rajdhani, Secunderabad Rajdhani, Bilaspur Rajdhani, Bhubaneswar Rajdhani and the Chennai Rajdhani services run entirely under electric traction.
Left out are Trivandrum Rajdhani, Madgaon Rajdhani, Agartala Rajdhani, Dibrugarh Rajdhani and Ahmedabad Rajdhani services. These services run on diesel traction for a significant part of their route.
The Railway Board has also asked for careful monitoring of energy consumption and regeneration on these trains.
RDSO and the Production Units have also been asked to extend support for standardization of the Push-Pull system and to ensure that locomotives are turned out with Push-Pull and HOG as standard.
Durontos to go Push-Pull
Significantly, Duronto services have also been included in the categories of services planned for a switch to the Push-Pull mode.
However, no timeline was specified for Duronto and Shatabdi services to be shifted to the new configuration.
[Story has been updated to remove references to Bhubaneswar Rajdhani being run partly under diesel traction. The error is regretted]
