Escalators are poorly placed, and platform 4 lacks a roof. While waiting rooms, stalls, and restrooms are claimed, passengers report otherwise. The station's pitline facility, capable of servicing three trains daily, only services one, limiting operational potential. The main building (G+3 structure) cost ₹44.9 crore. The station includes new retiring rooms, a food court, dormitory, waiting areas, and three lifts. Parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers has also been improved.

Teen trains ko daily service dene wali pitline facility sirf ek train ko hi service de rahi hai, jisse Belagavi se train operations badhane ki capacity kam ho rahi hai. Main building (G+3 structure) ₹44.9 crore mein bana hai. Naye retiring rooms, food court, dormitory, waiting areas aur teen lifts bhi hain. Two-wheelers aur four-wheelers ke liye parking ki bhi vyavastha ki gayi hai.

This follows a question from Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chowta regarding capacity augmentation of the Mangaluru-Bengaluru line. The Minister stated that the Karnataka government's contribution is needed for capacity enhancement due to the project's joint venture nature. Additionally, Capt. Chowta raised the issue of shifting Mangaluru's railway administration from Southern Railway's Palakkad Division to South Western Railway's Mysuru Division, citing administrative inconvenience due to the current 350km distance.

Yeh Dakshina Kannada ke MP Captain Brijesh Chowta ke sawaal ke jawab mein tha, jinhone Mangaluru-Bengaluru line ki capacity badhane ke bare mein poochha tha. Minister ne bataya ki yeh ek joint venture hai, isliye capacity badhane ke liye state government ka contribution zaroori hai. Captain Chowta ne yeh bhi bataya ki Mangaluru railway administration ko Southern Railway ke Palakkad Division se South Western Railway ke Mysuru Division mein shift kiya jaye, kyunki abhi Palakkad, Mangaluru se 350km dur hai.
