Trip Report :)
For the purpose of Some personal family work had been to a Village Called Ballupet with is in between WESTERN GHAT of Karnataka. As no rail connectivity for the place Took a Car drive from Bangalore for 212Km to reach the place. Ballupet is a village between 2 Some what big stations called Sakleshpura(SKLR) and HASSAN(HAS) of Hassan Mangalore Rail Line.
The Place is fully covered with PADDY FIELDS between COFFEE plantations which is EVER GREEN for 365 days.

myself took complete 3hours to drive with 2 intermediate stops reached Ballupet around 11AM. As reached home between COFFEE ESTATES After having a cup of Coffee which was in turn for me to roam the Estate/plantation.
In between Plantation Railway line passes and can N-Joy good numbers of GOODS TRAIN movement with 2-3 loco's attached.
As pointed above HAS-MAQ line has only 2 passenger train running(16515/6 and 16517/8) and usually feels there is no other Rail mode of transport moving in this line(Which I had in my mind). When I was roaming in the plantation I could make out the Line passing and witnessed for 6-7 Goods trains passed in the time interval of 11AM till 3Pm.
At 11.20 my first witness was OIL/PETROL TANKERS from MAQ to HAS which was headed with twin UBL SHED WDG4 with Yellow Livery... Which was moving with an average speed of 40-50 km/hr.
At 11.45 Second was BOXN Rakes from HAS - MAQ with GY shed loco's with minimal speed as it was just started from station(BLLT)
For ever 1hr interval I could make out a train movement in this section for which I felt IR will not introduce any more passenger service in this route as It'll going to loose its profit.
Mean while managed to Visit a fort which is at the tip of GHAT at SKLR which was constructed at the time of TIPPU. The Location itself is good to capture photo's of train passing in the Ghat.
This blog may not explain/get other members about Rail issues but the place which I had been was too good and Request others to make out if Possible.
Thanks
Shashank Bhat.
