KRR-DG is electrified now, so is ED-KRR-TPJ. Only missing link is SA-KRR. If this opens up as all electric, there can be seamless connectivity to South TN from SA. Trains could be operated from South TN to MAS/MS/TBM via SA, JTJ. Since VM line is crowded already and DG-SA-MAS takes the same time as Mainline (DG-TPJ-MV-VM-SA), this line could be used.

SA- ATU - VRI electrification is needed to 22153 and 16857 trains more loco reversals and helpful to more trains passes through VGE and ATU stations , village peoples uses trains

This was the first trip I had done with my then new Camera; I was on my way to a cousin's wedding in Karur. It was an adventurous start to the day to begin with. After having breakfast, a friend dropped me in front of Coimbatore Jn., roughly 5 mins before the departure time of the 66602 MEMU to Salem. the app simply refused to open. Fed up of wasting 2 precious mins with that, I rushed in to the UR Ticket counters. Thankfully, a gentleman was operating an ATVM machine with his own smart card and I quickly purchased a passenger ticket to Karur.

Ticket in hand, I ascended the stairs to find out that I was standing in front of the Tiruvananthapuram bound Sabari Express on pf1/1A (Coimbatore has a double discharge pf). Realizing my mistake quickly, i ran back down and took the underpass to go to pf6, from where my MEMU was ready to depart. The repeated announcements of "66602 Coimbatore - Salem MEMU is ready for departure from platform no. 6" sent a chill down my spine. If i missed this train, my only alternative was a rescheduled and late running 11014 Kurla Express; that it wouldn't have made a difference is a different story.

I ran up the stairs to pf6 to board the last coach of the MEMU with seconds to spare; all this while carrying a suitcase and a shoulder bag. 😴 Phew!!! I was literally gasping for breath as the MEMU departed. Being an all-stop service, the MEMU went about trotting slowly along the way; It was not a Friday; else, we would have gotten 2 more crossings and an overtake as well. Upon reaching Erode, i had quite some time in hand; so I decided finish an early Lunch. From there, I boarded the 56825 Passenger to Karur. It was on its last few weeks with Diesel link, so I cherished the ride from the very first coach. Hope you did too.

It cost me only Rs. 35 to travel 166 kms from Coimbatore Jn. to Karur Jn.; a distance for which I would paid 4x or 5x the amount in a bus. This Journey was far more enjoyable than some super costly rides I undertook on board Premium trains; but then again, to each person his/her own perspective i suppose; each Journey is different from others. Hope you enjoyed this small Journey Compilation.

Gorakhpur-Valmikinagar (87KM) Doubling much needed. But in Fist Phase Gorakhpur Cantt-Kaptangunj section ka Doubling Most Priority me karna chahiye Becoz. CPJ par 2 Section (CPJ-SV & CPJ-NKE-MFP) Connect hote hain...Hence Ye section Bottleneck ho chuka hai.

First train journey of 2018 began with my favourite white beast on 17th February 2018. I travelled from Chennai to Karur in MS-MAQ Express for the first time. The ride was quite fast and aggressive. My coach was 6th from loco. 30408 honked like a steam engine and all along there was melodious twin tone honking. After STM,we switched onto the wrong track. Till then we were moving at 90 kmph. After that it was ripping 110. Sometime after departure from CGL I slept and woke up at around 6 AM to find our train led by GOC EMD destroying the wayside stations in the TPJ-KRR section. And while returning by MAQ-MS after two days, my coach was just 4th from the GOC WDP4B 40064( SHF mode). We once again thrashed the single line but this time I heard the resounding honk of the EMD and the roaring motor sounds....

We got all the priority till TPJ. It was 100+ MPS run till TPJ with no unscheduled halts and finally P7 took charge from TPJ. I was lucky to travel by this train hauled by EMD. In the near future, it would get eloco.

Therla pa Na pogumbothu 4th line la pochu,but I can see some iron rail still placed along 4th line post stm ,eppo entha mainline la entha direction la varuthu sollira mudiyathu ,need to be careful while railfanning
And one interesting thing is noted while returning in Vaigai on 3rdline is train has ripped at 108 btw cmp and stm and reduced to 85

Innum 3rd line dhaan use panranga. On Friday, also I saw 30408 hauled 12635 Vaigai going on 3rd line. On Wednesday AJJ WAP1 22014 hauled BBS PDY also take 3rd line.
