ER is very much skeptical about linking SER at Masagram. Cross over is not a problem if so then there should be no Reversal/change of loco at Durgapur(PF 1) for NEF bound trains like Ypr-Kyq Ac exp, vivek exp, ranchi-kyq, Mldt-ST, tmbm-Ghy/DBRT, Jaj-dbrt, Mas-njp, Puri-Kyq, Kcvl-Ghy spl etc. For entry in PF 1 of Durgapur from down twin lines these trains have to cross over all important Quadrple section of Shaktigarh-Sitarampur section at Durgapur.

But Masagram and Durgapur both r different. You cannot compare both cases.
