SCR's locomotive with an SR train headed to CR! Captured at an SR station!

Almost on time, 16352 - Nagercoil Mumbai CST Express arrived at Srirangam with an offlink Vijayawada WAP-7 #39385.

I was waiting for my 16128 - Guruvayur Chennai Egmore Express, which arrived 20-30 minutes after this.

BZA WAP-7s are increasingly being provided with the weekly and bi-weekly trains, I think!

Anyways, this is a very popular and highly patronized train.

Has anyone gotten off a train (that had stopped, of course), at an unscheduled stop? (If you were lucky enough for it to be your required stop)😁😁. I was lucky enough today when my 20481 took an unscheduled stop at SRGM!! This was because 16127 was just ahead.

It had made unscheduled stops at least four times before. And I had already moved near the door (closed, of course), near Valadi (20 minutes from TPJ), just so that I wouldn't get caught in the rush.

However, after UKV, we started slowing down and, totally unexpectedly, came to a complete stop at SRGM. I immediately opened the door and looked out. The signal seemed to have just turned green and the ALP had just arrived. I deboarded, and a few others did too!! Hardly after a 30-second stop, the train departed BUT AGAIN slowed down. Probably more people were deboarding!!

So that's my experience!!

I was able to make a quick decision as I had only one small piece of hand luggage (the size of a school bag, approximately). And there were more people who wanted to deboard.

I spent a lot of time thinking afterward about how lucky I was!! (I would have missed my connecting train from TPJ, if I hadn't gotten off here.)

Note:- The signal had just turned green and the train was at a complete halt. Even the LP hadn't honked yet. After me and a few more passengers deboarded, only then was the horn honked and I heard the brakes release!!

Now I'm wondering how I got the idea/intuitive courage to do this 😁😁 (it felt like traveling in an EMU).

Kya kisi ne kabhi train se, (rukne ke baad, zarur), unplanned stop pe utra hai? (Agar aap itne lucky the ki woh aapka station tha toh) 😁😁. Aaj main lucky raha jab meri 20481 train ne SRGM pe unplanned stop liya!! Yeh isliye hua kyunki 16127 train usse pehle thi.

Usne unplanned stops kam se kam 4 baar pehle bhi li thi. Aur main Valadi (TPJ se 20 min dur) ke paas, darwaze ke paas (band tha zarur) aa gaya tha, taki rush mein nahi phansu.

Lekin UKV ke baad, hum slow hone lage aur bilkul unexpected, SRGM pe pura stop. Maine turant darwaza khola aur bahar dekha. Signal hara hua dikh raha tha aur ALP abhi abhi aaya tha. Main utar gaya aur kuch aur log bhi!! Hardly 30 second ke stop ke baad train chali, LEKIN phir slow ho gayi. Shayad aur log utar rahe the!!

Toh yeh mera experience hai!!

Main ek jhatke mein faisla le paya kyunki mere paas ek chhota sa handbag tha (school bag ke size ka). Aur aur bhi log the jo utarna chahte the.

Uske baad maine bahut der socha ki main kitna lucky tha!! (Agar main yaha nahi utarta toh main TPJ se apni connecting train bhi miss kar deta)

Note :- signal abhi abhi hara hua tha aur train bilkul ruk gayi thi. LP ne bhi abhi tak horn nahi bajaya tha. Mere aur kuch passengers ke utarne ke baad, tab horn bajaya gaya aur maine brakes release hote hue suna!!

Ab main soch raha hu ki mujhe yeh idea/himmat kaise aaya 😁😁 (EMU mein travel kar rahe jaisa laga)

Presenting:

🔷The rarest crossing, when a 4-hour delayed special meets an almost on-time Vande Bharat!!

🔷The special was 07175- Secunderabad Kollam Express. It arrived and departed SRGM around 4 hours late from PF #4. I was surprised to see more passengers deboard from AC coaches than non-AC!! It was hauled by a Green Goblin from SCR, namely Vijayawada WAG9-HC 33943!!

🔷Just as the train departed, the 20628- Nagercoil Chennai Egmore Vande Bharat Express, skipped through PF #3, under a TSR of 20 kmph. Thanks to the TSR I was able to capture the crossing; otherwise, the VB would have been gone in 10-12 seconds!!

🔷The nice-looking red colored LHB MEMU; the '23 manufactured rake of 56112- Trichy Villupuram MEMU Passenger (yes, regular number!) which arrived bang on time on PF #1.

🔷Ek bahut hi rare crossing, jab ek 4 ghante late special train ek almost on-time Vande Bharat se milti hai!!

🔷Yeh special train thi 07175- Secunderabad Kollam Express. Yeh SRGM pe around 4 ghante late PF #4 pe pahunchi aur chali gayi. Mujhe hairani hui AC coaches se zyada log non AC se utre!! Isse SCR ka ek Green Goblin, Vijayawada WAG9-HC 33943, khinch raha tha!!

🔷Jaise hi train chali, 20628- Nagercoil Chennai Egmore Vande Bharat Express, PF #3 se 20kmph ki speed se guzar gayi. Is TSR ki wajah se main crossing capture kar paya warna VB 10-12 seconds mein chali jati!! (Video do parts mein hai.)

🔷Ek achchi dikhne wali LAAL rang ki LHB MEMU; 23 mein bani 56112- Trichy Villupuram MEMU Passenger ki rake (haan, sahi number!) jo bilkul samay pe PF# 1 pe pahunchi.
