will be affected. To mitigate inconvenience, WR will reroute slow line trains onto the fast lines between Andheri and Goregaon/Borivali stations, but trains will bypass Ram Mandir station. Harbour line services from Central Railway will terminate at Andheri, and some slow trains between Churchgate and Goregaon/Borivali will also terminate there. Mail and express trains using the affected route will experience delays of 10 to 20 minutes. This work is part of ongoing maintenance efforts to improve the Mumbai railway network.

UP aur DOWN slow lines aur Harbour lines sab affected honge. Inconveinence kam karne ke liye, WR slow line trains ko Andheri aur Goregaon/Borivali stations ke beech fast lines par reroute karega, lekin trains Ram Mandir station bypass karenge. Central Railway se aane wali Harbour line services Andheri station par terminate ho jayengi aur kuchh slow trains jo Churchgate aur Goregaon/Borivali ke beech chalti hain, woh bhi Andheri par terminate ho jayengi. Affected route se chalne wali mail aur express trains ko block ki wajah se 10 se 20 minute ki delay ka samna karna padega. Ye kaam Mumbai railway network par infrastructure ko behtar banane ke liye kiye ja rahe maintenance efforts ka hissa hai.

CSMT/Panvel Harbour line trains operated by Central Railway. Additionally, some Churchgate – Goregaon – Churchgate Slow services will be canceled. To accommodate the increased passenger rush during the festive season, Western Railway has introduced One Way Festival Special Trains on special fare between Valsad and Rajgir, as well as Udhna and Jaynagar. The Valsad – Rajgir Special train departed from Valsad on Thursday, 7th November 2024, at 07:00 hrs and reached Rajgir at 16:00 hrs on the following day. The train makes stops at various stations en route.

Valsad – Rajgir Special train, Thursday, 7 November 2024 ko Valsad se 07:00 hrs pe chali aur next day 16:00 hrs pe Rajgir pahuchi. Train apne journey mein kai stations pe rukti hai.

Some suburban trains will be cancelled or short-terminated. For instance, Train No. 94078 Virar-Andheri Fast local departing from Virar at 10:44 pm on October 5 will short terminate at Borivali. All 5th-line Mail/Express trains will run on the Down Fast line from Andheri to Borivali. The Western Railway will also introduce a new suburban timetable effective from October 12, 2024, with 12 new services, 6 extended services, and 10 services being augmented to 15-car trains, increasing the total number of services on the Mumbai suburban section from 1394 to 1406.

This is welcome news. Specially the extension of CCG- BSR AC EME till VR which runs during peak hours. Similarly conversion of 12 coach trains to 15 will bring big respite to commuters. However the WR should focus on improving punctuality of trains during peak hours. All the services are late by minimum 10 min. by the time they reach destination. Semi fast locals to and from BVI / Goregaon are creating bottlenecks during peak hours. These should be either converted to Slow services or should be extended upto VR with no halts between BVI and ADH
