ko faida ho. Ideal scenario yeh hai ki train Venad Express se pehle ya baad mein Ernakulam pahunch jaaye. 12-coach air-conditioned train mein 3,200 se zyada log fit ho sakte hain aur yeh train Rs 30 se start hone wali minimum fare ke saath daily commuters ke liye bahut helpful hoga.

Southern Railway. This information is based on the passenger revenue figures for 2023-2024 released by Indian Railways. The top eight stations in Kerala are also seeing an increase in revenue, with Thiruvananthapuram leading with 281.12 crore rupees. Thane (Mumbai) boasts the highest number of passengers with 93.06 crore, followed by Mumbai Kalyan at 83.79 crore and New Delhi at 39.36 crore. Thiruvananthapuram recorded 1.31 crore passengers. India has 28 stations in the highest group, Non-Suburban Group-1 (NSG-1), considering both passenger numbers and revenue. Central Railway, including Mumbai, has the most stations in this group with eight, followed by Southern Railway with three (Chennai, Egmore, and Tambaram). There are no Kerala stations in this group. Six stations that were in NSG-2 in 2017-2018 have now moved up to NSG-1.

Given the space limitations at KTYM,Terminal facilities are difficult. Terminating some trains shud be done like Karaikal express,Bsp express(if possible),Poorna etc.
For long distance trains to originate,There needs to be Pitlines,Which if possible shud be constructed on the old tunnel line (now abandoned) similar to Alappuzha.
