The Chotanagpur Passenger Association's general secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Tiwari, noted the absence of new train announcements, offering no direct benefits to the Chakradharpur division, although improvements to the Kavach safety system were viewed positively. The general budget allocated ₹6800 crore for signaling and telecom, ₹6150 crore for electrification, ₹833 crore for staff welfare, ₹301 crore for staff training, and transferred ₹45,000 crore to the railway safety fund. The railway ministry plans to implement Kavach 4.0 on major routes to reduce accidents. A senior DCM of Chakradharpur division stated that a full assessment of budgetary allocations will be possible only after the release of the railway's pink book.
