ALLAHABAD: Declaring safety as the foremost area of concern, authorities of the North Central Railways have stressed on the need of enhancing the safety measures.
GM, NCR, MC Chauhan, in a meeting held at NCR headquarter, on Monday, advised that the patrolling should continue even after winters and ground staff especially PWIs and Gangmen should conduct their periodic inspections without fail and respective branch officers must monitor. He also advised to conduct NDRF mock drills.

While discussing about the cable cutting cases during construction works, he advised that presence of concerned staff at the site should be ensured so as to avoid any such cases and in case of any negligence, penalty must be imposed against the defaulters. He also advised that not only should the penalty be imposed but it should be ensured that this penalty is deposited in the railway’s account. He further added that the closure of Unmanned Level Crossings be ensured according to stipulated targets.
Chauhan also congratulated the Allahabad division for successful commissioning of electronic interlocking at Rasulabad station and said that it will not only ease up the operations but will also improve safety.
