Yeh section 15,863 crore rupees mein banaya gaya hai, isme 16 bridges, 11 tunnels hain aur isme advanced safety features bhi hain jaise ki ballastless tracks aur canted turnouts. Baramulla-Srinagar-Banihal-Sangaldan section ka electrification complete ho chuka hai, jisse Vande Bharat trains chalane ke liye rasta clear ho gaya hai. Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project:  CRS conducts second inspection on Banihal-Khari section, says ‘infrastructure ready for commissioning’

On January 3rd, the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) conducted the second round of inspections for the 14.869 km track between Banihal and Khari, part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project. This inspection is a statutory requirement for the newly completed track.

Iske saath hi, Katra-Banihal stretch par kaam chal raha hai, aur March tak isko operational karne ki plan hai. USBRL project ka hissa, Katra aur Reasi railway stations ke beech 3,209-meter-long Tunnel T-1 recently complete ho gaya hai, jo Kashmir Valley ko national railway network se jodne ki disha mein ek bada kadam hai.
