Doubling and electrification works on the Guntur-Guntakal section have been completed between Nallapadu and Perecherla. The 7.8 km stretch has been commissioned.
Electrification of the single line Guntur – Guntakal section was successfully completed in 2018-19. Doubling of the line was sanctioned in the year 2016-17 with an estimated cost of Rs 3,887 crore for a distance of 404 Km.
As a part of the project, doubling & electrification between Perecherla – Satulur (24 kms) and Dhone – Pendekallu (28 Kms) has been completed in February and March 2020 respectively. With the completion

of Perecherla – Nallapadu, work on a total of 59.8 km has been executed.
When completed, the project will increase line capacity significantly, enabling an increase in passenger services and freight movement. The doubled line will also help offload traffic from the congested Grand Trunk route.

The South Central Railway (SCR), which has set a scorching pace in electrification of railway lines in the last couple of years, intends to continue the work with an aim to completely electrify the entire track of about 6,000 km within the next three years.
General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav said 600 km was electrified last year and the same length would likely be completed before the end of this financial year.

while financial bids will be called for another 1,100 km. Survey work for the remaining 1,100 km is on. We aim to complete the last section by March 2022 at the current pace which itself will be a record,” he explained in an exclusive interaction.
It is not just the Railway Board delegating more powers to the GMs that has bolstered his drive towards achieving greater efficiency, but the newly-introduced guidelines of not calling for any work tenders unless the entire pre-project work is completed. It includes detailed project report with complete drawings, technical and financial details and time schedules among others. “We have introduced pre-cast concrete foundation blocks, mechanisation for digging, mast erections and power cabling too to keep up with the time-lines, while ensuring that the civil, signalling, traffic and electric wings work in proper coordination so that normal train services are not effected,” said Mr. Yadav. Incidentally, he was part of the GMs’ working group that recommended the new work guidelines and these have been accepted by the RB, but put into practice countrywide now. Among the key sections likely to be commissioned this year are: Guntakal-Kalluru, Guntakal-Toranagallu, Nallapadu-Pagidipalli, Peddapalli-Lingampet-Jagityal, Manmad-Mudkhed-Dhone, Obulavaripalli-Krishnapatnam and various suburban sections under MMTS Phase-II. In Nallapadu-Guntakal section, Nallapadu-Diguvametta (209 km), Guntakal-Dhone and Gooty-Pendekallu (97 km) and Dhone-Diguvametta (129km) are already done. For Manmad-Mudkhed-Dhone section, the tender is being finalised as of now. For these, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE) and Tata Projects are the implementing agencies.
“Electrification helps railways become energy-efficient and faster, reduces operational and maintenance cost, helps in increasing speed, besides reducing dependence on fuel imports,” adds the GM.

Budgetary Allocations for South Central Railway
General Highlights:
The general highlights pertaining to Railways in the Union Budget presented o­n 1stFebruary, 2018 are as follows:
ØThe investments in Railways is Rs 1,46,500 Cr in 2018-19 as against
Rs 53,989 Cr in 2013-14.
ØGovernment has accorded highest priority to safety. The total expenditure planned o­n safety activities including Rashtriya Rail Samraksha Kosh (RRSK) is Rs. 73,065 cr in 2018-19 as against Rs. 68,725 cr 2017-18.
ØIt is proposed to provide Escalators at all stations with passenger footfall above 25,000.
ØTo enhance safety and security of passengers, Indian Railways will set up CCTV cameras across all stations and trains to enhance security.
Ø600 Stations are proposed to develop with world class facilities.
South Central Railway
South Central Railway has got a substantial budgetary allocation for the year 2018-19.
ØWith regard to Telangana, this year (2018-19), the Budget allocation is Rs. 1813 cr, which is 5% more than the allocation of Rs. 1729 cr. during the previous year 2017-18.
ØWith regard to Andhra Pradesh, this year (2018-19), the Budget allocation is Rs. 3670 cr, which is 8% more than the allocation of Rs. 3406 cr. during the previous year 2017-18.
The budget outlay for different heads of expenditure is –
ØTowards infrastructure, SCR has been sanctioned a staggering amount of Rs 5752 Cr for the year 2018-19 which is more than last year.
ØFor new lines, the budgetary grant is Rs 1757.70 Cr.
ØFor doubling works, the budgetary grant is Rs 1653.62 Cr, as against Rs. 1270.87 Cr. in 2017-18, which is 30 % more.
ØFor traffic facilities, the budgetary grant is Rs 210.77 Cr, as against Rs. 111.34 Cr. in 2017-18, which is 89 % more.
ØFor passenger amenities, the budgetary grant is Rs 120.03 Cr, as against Rs. 67.77 Cr. in 2017-18, which is 77 % more.
New infrastructure projects Sanctioned
ØRailway Electrification:
A total of 1,261 Route Kilometres (RKms) have been sanctioned for Electrification in 2018-19.
The new Sections sanctioned during 2018-19 are-
1.Lingampet Jagityal – Nizamabad: 95 RKms at a cost of Rs. 80.29 cr (Telangana)
2.Vikarabad – Parli Vaijnath: 269 RKms at a cost of Rs. 262.12 cr (Telangana, Karnataka & Maharashtra)
3.Pimpalkutti – Mudkhed and Parbhani – Parli Vaijnath: 246 RKms at a cost of Rs. 224.17 cr ( Telangana & Maharashtra)
4.Gadwal – Raichur: 57 RKms at a cost of Rs. 46.10 cr. (Telangana & Karnataka)
5.Tenali – Repalle: 34 RKms at a cost of Rs. 25.98 cr. (Andhra Pradesh)
6.Nandyal – Yerraguntla: 123 RKms at a cost of Rs. 111.48 cr (Andhra Pradesh)
7.Dharmavaram – Pakala: 228 RKms at a cost of Rs. 210.47 cr. (Andhra Pradesh)
8.Purna – Akola: 209 RKms at a cost of Rs. 211.58 cr. (Maharashtra)


Other Works Sanctioned

ØUpgradation of Flash Butt Welding Plant at Moula Ali at a sanctioned cost of Rs. 7.71 cr.
ØAugmentation facility for Periodic Over Hauling (POH) of LHB coaches at Tirupati at a sanctioned cost of Rs. 37 cr.
ØDevelopment of Minimum Essential Facilities for LHB coaches at Vijayawada and Machilipatnam at sanctioned cost of Rs. 6.50 cr.
ØAugmentation of Wagon Depot Capacity for Routine Over-Hauling of Freight Wagons at Vijayawada at a sanctioned cost of Rs. 6.61 cr.
ØUnder Passenger Amenities, works o­n provision of Foot Over Bridges and High Level Platforms to be undertaken at a sanctioned cost of Rs. 450 cr. Budget outlay for the year 2018-19 is Rs. 72.62 cr.

ØPatancheru – Sangareddi - Jogipet – Medak: 95 Kms. (Telangana)
ØNizamabad – Nirmal – Adilabad : 125 Kms (Telangana)
ØManakondur – Huzurabad & Elkaturthi : 60 Kms (Telangana)
ØBy-Pass Line Construction: Total 221 Kms
1.Peddapalli – Kazipet (Telangana)
2.Parli Vaijnath – Ghatnandur (Maharashtra)
3.Latur Road – Parli Vaijnath (Maharashtra)

Special emphasis has been given towards Safety. The budget allocations for safety related works are –
ØFor Road over/under Bridges (Road Safety Works), the budgetary grant is Rs 400 Cr, as against Rs. 325.4 Cr. for 2017-18, which is 23 % more.
ŸIn Andhra Pradesh, 12 new ROBs and 15 Road under bridges/Subways at a cost of Rs. 703 Cr with Railway share of Rs. 310 Cr and State share of Rs. 393 Cr have been sanctioned.
ŸIn Telangana, 2 new ROBs and 9 Road under bridges/Subways at a cost of Rs. 195.37 Cr with Railway share of Rs. 73.14 Cr and State share of Rs. 122.22 Cr have been sanctioned.
ØFor Bridges, the budgetary grant is Rs 44.76 Cr. in this year, as against Rs. 30.96 Cr. for 2017-18, which is 45 % more.
ØTo enhance safety at Level Crossings, an amount of Rs 72.32 Cr has been allotted, as against Rs. 69.53 Cr. for 2017-18, which is 4 % more.
This year, to improve safety at busy Level Crossing gates, Inter-locking works are sanctioned at 12 LC gates.
ØFor Track Renewals, the budgetary grant is Rs 800 Cr, as against Rs. 604.7 Cr. in 2017-18, which is 32 % more.
This year, in addition to the already sanctioned complete track renewal works. New complete track renewal works have been sanctioned for 41 Sections.
ØRs. 51.51 Cr is allotted for Traction Distribution work, as against Rs. 37.58 Cr. in 2017-18, which is 37 % more.

Budgetary Allocations for important o­ngoing projects in the budget:
The last mile projects:
ØRs. 130 Cr allotted for Akkannapet – Medak new line project (Telangana). The project was sanctioned in the year 2012-13 for a distance of 17 Kms. 50% of the project cost would be shared by the Govt of Telangana with land free of cost. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 45 Cr. The project is targeted for completion during 2018-19.
ØRs. 200 Cr allotted for Obulavaripalle – Krishnapatnam new line project (Andhra Pradesh). The project was sanctioned in the year 2005-06 for a distance of 113 Kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 733 Cr. The section between Krishnapatnam – Venkatachalam for a distance of 20 Kms commissioned and it is targeted to complete Venkatachalam - Obulavaripalem section for a distance of 93 Kms in 2018-19. With that the entire section will be completed.
ØRs. 80 Cr allotted for Mudkhed – Parbhani doubling project (Maharashtra). The doubling project was sanctioned in the year 2011-12 for a distance of 81 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 391 Cr. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 244 Cr. The section between Parbhani – Mirkhel for a distance of 17 Kms commissioned in 2017-18 and it is targeted to complete the sections between Mudkhed – Mugat and Limbgaon – Nanded for a distance of 22 Kms by the end of 2017-18. The balance portion of 42 Kms will be completed by 2018-19.
ØRs. 40 Cr allotted for Guntur – Tenali doubling project (Andhra Pradesh) . The doubling project was sanctioned in the year 2011-12 for a distance of 24 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 147 Cr. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 118 Cr. Targeted for completion in 2018-19.
ØMMTS Phase II project was sanctioned in the year 2012-13 with the estimated cost Rs. 817 Cr. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 470 Cr. The sections between Telapur – Ramachandrapuram for 5.75 Kms and Moula Ali – Ghatkesar for 12.2 Kms are targeted to complete by this financial year. The works in the remaining stretch is in progress except airport connectivity. The project is targeted for completion in 2018-19. The Railway portion of Money has already been spent and funds are expected from State Government.
This high allocation will enable in completing the above five projects in all respects.
Budgetary Allocations for other o­ngoing projects.
ØRs. 125 Cr allotted for Manoharabad–Kothapalli new line project (Telangana). The project was sanctioned in the year 2006-07 for a distance of 150 Kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 1160 Cr. The expenditure incurred for this project in the last 3 years is Rs. 18 Cr. The first phase of the project from Manoharabad – Gajwel for a distance of 32 kms is targeted for completion in 2018-19.
ØRs. 275 Cr allotted for Munirabad–Mahabubnagar new line project (Telangana). The project was sanctioned in the year 1997-98 for a distance of 246 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 645 Cr. Out of 246 Kms, 66 kms fall under the jurisdiction of Telangana State and the remaining portion belongs to Karnataka State. The works for the same are in progress and
29 Km of new line in Devarakadra – Jaklair section was completed and commissioned for train operations o­n 25th March 2017. 172 acres of land is yet to be handed over to Railways. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 404 Cr.
ØRs. 120 Cr allotted for Bhadrachallam – Sattupalli new line project (Telangana) . The project was sanctioned in the year 2010-11 for a distance of 56 Kms with an estimated cost of Rs 704 Cr. The project has been taken up jointly by Railways and Singareni Colleries. It is targeted to complete the project within 2 years o­nce the land acquisition is completed which is under progress. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 70 Cr.
ØRs. 301 Cr allotted for Kazipet – Balharshah 3rd line project (Telangana and Maharashtra) . The 3rd Line project sanctioned in the year 2015-16 for a distance of 202 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 2063 Cr. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 79 Cr. The sections between Sirpur Khagaznagar to Makudi and Raghavapuram to Jammikunta for a length of 77 kms are planned for completion in 2018-19.
ØRs. 420 Cr allotted for Nadikudi–Srikalahasti new line project (Andhra Pradesh). The project was sanctioned in the year 2011-12 for a distance of 309 Kms with an estimated cost of Rs.2289 Cr. 50% of the project cost would be shared by the Govt. of AP with land free of cost. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 199 Cr. Under Phase 1, the works from Piduguralla to Savalyapuram for a distance of 46 kms is in progress and it is targeted to complete the new line from Piduguralla to Rompicherla for a distance of 28 Kms by March 2018. And the balance section of 17 kms is targeted in the next financial year 2018-19.
ØRs. 175 Cr allotted for Kadapa – Bengaluru new line project (Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka). The project was sanctioned in the year 2008-09 for a distance of 255 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 2030 Cr. Length in SCR under Andhra Pradesh Jurisdiction is 205 kms and the balance in SWR under Karnataka is 50.40 kms. 50% of the project cost is contributed by the Govt. of AP for the SCR portion. The project is taken up in 4 phases in SCR jurisdiction and 1 phase in SWR jurisdiction. The first stretch from Kadapa–Pendlimarri for a distance of 21 Km is completed and commissioned in April 2017. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 160 Cr.
ØRs. 10 Cr allotted for Vijayawada – Guntur Via Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) new line project. The project was sanctioned in the year 2017-18 for a distance of 106 Kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 2680 Cr. Detailed project report along with estimated cost of Rs. 3272 Cr submitted to Railway Board in November 2017.
ØRs. 76.52 Cr allotted for Guntakal – Kalluru doubling project (Andhra Pradesh). The doubling project was sanctioned in the year 2015-16 for a distance of 40.60 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 323 Cr. The section between Khaderpet to Gulapalayamu for a distance of 21.54 kms is targeted for completion in February 2018. The balance section from Guntakal to Gulapalyamu and Kalluru to Khaderpet is planned for commissioning in 2018-19. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 73 Cr.
ØRs. 200 Cr allotted for Guntur – Guntakal doubling project (Andhra Pradesh). The doubling project was sanctioned in the year 2016-17 for a distance of 443 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 3631 Cr. The expenditure incurred o­n this project in the current fiscal till December 2017 is Rs. 16 Cr. The sections between Nallapadu – Satalur and Pendekallu – Dhone for a length of 55 kms are targeted for completion in 2018-19.
ØRs. 200 Cr allotted for Vijayawada–Bhimavaram–Nidadavolu doubling and electrification (Andhra Pradesh) . The doubling project was sanctioned in the year 2011-12 for a distance of 221 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 1504 Cr. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 504 Cr. Section from Moturu – Kaikaluru for a distance of 30 Kms is targeted to complete in 2018-19.
ØRs. 200 Cr allotted for Kotipalli–Narsapur new line project (Andhra Pradesh) . The project was sanctioned in the year 2000-01 for a distance of 57 Kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 2120 Cr. 25% of the project cost would be shared by the Govt of AP. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 246 Cr.
ØRs. 250 Cr allotted for Secunderabad – Mahbubnagar doubling project. (Telangana) The doubling project was sanctioned in the year 2015-16 for a distance of 85 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 728 Cr. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 2 years is Rs. 36 Cr. Earth and bridge works are in progress between Jadcherla – Divtipalli.
ØRs. 76 Cr allotted for Gooty – Dharmavaram doubling project. (Andhra Pradesh). The doubling project was sanctioned in the year 2015-16 for a distance of 90 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 636 Cr. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 2 years is Rs. 106 Cr. The sections between Gooty – Turkapalli and Dharmavaram – Chingicherla is targeted to complete in 2018-19.
ØRs. 60 Cr allotted for Kazipet – Vijayawada 3rd line project (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). The 3rd Line project was sanctioned in the year 2013-14 for a distance of 219 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 1857 Cr. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 3 years is Rs. 167 Cr. The section between Vijayawada to Kondapalli for a distance of 17.5 Kms is targeted to complete in 2018-19.
ØRs. 250 Cr allotted for Vijayawada – Gudur 3rd line project (Andhra Pradesh). The 3rd Line project was sanctioned in the year 2015-16 for a distance of 287 kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 3246 Cr. The expenditure incurred o­n this project during the last 2 years is Rs. 10 Cr.
ØIn addition Rs. 21.25 Cr has been allotted for Ghatkesar – Yadadri extension MMTS phase-II. (Telangana) Sanctioned in the year 2016-17 for a distance of 33 Kms with an estimated cost of Rs. 330 Cr. Detailed estimate has been sanctioned and tenders will be opened in February 2018.

ఈనాడు డిజిటల్‌, విజయవాడ: ప్రజలకు రైల్వేస్టేషన్లతో పాటు, రైళ్లలో ప్రయాణం చేసేటప్పుడు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న సమస్యలను, సౌకర్యాల లేమిని, పడుతున్న ఇబ్బందులను జిల్లా ఎంపీలు కేశినేని నాని, కొనకళ్ల నారాయణరావులు రైల్వే జీఎం వినోద్‌కుమార్‌ యాదవ్‌ దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లారు. మంగళవారం ఎలక్ట్రికల్‌ ట్రాక్షన్‌ ట్రైనింగ్‌ సెంటర్‌లో జరిగిన సమావేశంలో వారు జిల్లాలోని పలు సమస్యలను వివరించారు. ‘విజయవాడ రైల్వేస్టేషన్‌కు నిత్యం రెండు లక్షల మంది ప్రయాణికులు రాకపోకలు సాగిస్తున్నారు. వీరికి ప్రస్తుతం ఉన్న ఫుట్‌ ఓవర్‌ బ్రిడ్జ్‌లు సరిపోవడం లేదని, అదనంగా మరో రెండు బ్రిడ్జ్‌లు నిర్మించాలని’ కేశినని నాని కోరారు. పార్శిల్‌ కార్యాలయం నుంచి తారాపేట వైపు 10 ఫ్లాట్‌ఫాంలను కలుపుతూ ఒక ఫుట్‌ ఓవర్‌ బ్రిడ్జ్‌ నిర్మిస్తే బాగుంటుందన్నారు. దీంతో పాటు తారాపేట వైపు ప్రయాణికుల రద్దీ ఎక్కువగా ఉందని, అక్కడ విచారణ కార్యాలయాలు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలన్నారు. ఆరు, ఏడు ఫ్లాట్‌ఫాంలపై ఉన్న భవనం శిథిలావస్థకు చేరిందని, దీనిని కూల్చి కొత్త భవనం నిర్మించాలని నివేదికలో పేర్కొన్నారు. రాజధాని ప్రాంతం కావడంతో అత్యాధునిక సౌకర్యాలతో రైల్వే రిటైరింగ్‌ రూం ఏర్పాటు చేయాలన్నారు. రెండు రైళ్లకు అమరావతి పేరు ఉండటంతో ప్రజలు తికమకపడుతున్నారని, వాటిలో ఒకదానికి (విజయవాడ-హుబ్లీ) ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్‌కు పేరు మార్చాలని సూచించారు. విజయవాడ-నాగపట్నం నేరుగా రైలు వేయాలని, వాంబే కాలనీ వద్ద ఆర్వోబీని త్వరితగతిన ఏర్పాటు చేయాలన్నారు. ఎర్రకట్టను ఆధునీకరణ చేయడంతో పాటు, మైలవరం నియోజకవర్గం పరిధిలోని రాయనపాడు వద్ద వోవర్‌ రైల్వే...

బ్రిడ్జ్‌ నిర్మాణం, గుంటుపల్లి నుంచి రైల్వే వ్యాగన్‌ వర్క్‌షాపు వరకు పనులు చేపడుతూ మధ్యలో వదిలేసిన సిమెంట్‌ రోడ్లు, సెంట్రల్‌ లైటింగ్‌ సిస్టమ్‌ తదితరాలను పూర్తి చేయాలని కోరారు. అమరావతి జంక్షన్‌ మీదుగా నడపబడుతున్న మచిలీపట్నం-యశ్వంతపూర్‌, కాకినాట-షిర్డీ, కాకినాట-ఎల్‌టీటీ రైళ్లను నిత్యం నడపాలన్నారు. వారానికి మూడు సార్లు తిరుగుతున్న మచిలీపట్నం-యశ్వంతపూర్‌-మచిలీపట్నం-కొండవీడు ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్‌ను నిత్యం నడపాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని కొనకళ్ల నారాయణరావు తెలిపారు. విజయవాడ, గుంటూరు, రాయలసీమ మీదుగా వెళ్తుండటంతో రద్దీ ఎక్కువగా ఉందని, దీంతో టిక్కెట్లు దొరక్క ప్రజలు ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్నారని తెలిపారు. మచిలీపట్నం-విశాఖపట్నం రైలుకు అదనంగా మరో రెండు రిజర్వేషన్‌ బోగీలు పెంచాలని ఆయన కోరారు.

గుంటూరు రైల్వే, న్యూస్‌టుడే: బడ్జెట్‌ ప్రవేశపెట్టడానికి నాలుగు నెలల ముందు నుంచి రైల్వే బోర్డు అన్ని జోన్లలో అవసరాలు, వాటికి నిధుల కేటాయింపుపై విస్తృత కసరత్తు సాగిస్తుండగా ప్రస్తుతం ఎంపీల సమావేశం నిర్వహించి ప్రతిపాదనలు అడగడంపై గుంటూరు పార్లమెంటు సభ్యులు రాయపాటి సాంబశివరావు అధికారులపై ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. బడ్జెట్లో తమకు దక్కాల్సిన వాటాలపై తమ వాదన వినిపించే సమయం ఇదేనా అంటూ ప్రశ్నించారు. భవిష్యత్తులోనైనా మొక్కుబడి సమావేశాలకు స్వస్తి పలకాలని హితవు పలికారు. విజయవాడలో ఎంపీలతో మంగళవారం ద.మ.రైల్వే జనరల్‌ మేనేజరు నిర్వహించిన సమావేశానికి రాయపాటి హాజరయ్యారు. సమావేశంలో చర్చించిన

రాయపాటి ప్రతిపాదనలు ఇవీ..
తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల మధ్య కీలకమైన బీబీనగర్‌ - నల్లపాడు మార్గంలో రెండో లైను నిర్మాణానికి సర్వే పూర్తయినందున వచ్చే బడ్జెట్‌లో ఆమోదం లభించేవిధంగా చూడాలి. నడికుడి - శ్రీకాళహస్తి మార్గం పనులు వేగవంతం చేయాలి. పిడుగురాళ్ల వద్ద రానున్న నూతన స్టేషన్‌కు అనుపాలెం స్టేషన్‌గా నామకరణం చేయాలి. చీరాల, చిలకలూరిపేట మీదుగా నర్సరావుపేటకు నూతన మార్గం నిర్మించాలి. మాచర్ల-నల్గొండ మార్గం నిర్మాణ పనులను వెంటనే ప్రారంభించాలి. విజయవాడ - మైసూరు నగరాల మధ్య నూతన రైలును ప్రారంభించి నర్సరావుపేట, గుంటూరు మీదుగా నడపాలి. తిరుపతి, చెన్నైకు వెళ్లే ప్రయాణికుల సౌకర్యార్థం గుంటూరు నుంచి ఇంటర్‌సిటీ ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్‌ను ప్రారంభించాలి. డెల్టా ఫాస్ట్‌ ప్యాసింజరును ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్‌గా మార్చడంపై ప్రయాణికుల నుంచి తీవ్ర వ్యతిరేకత వస్తుందన్నారు. ఆ రైలును యథావిధిగా పాత సమయాల్లోనే నడపాలని కోరారు. వినుకొండలో యశ్వంతపూర్‌, కొండవీడు, గరీబ్‌రథ్‌ ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్‌ రైళ్లకు హాల్ట్‌ సౌకర్యం కల్పించాలని, మంగళగిరిలో అన్ని ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్‌ రైళ్లను నిలపాలన్నారు. ఇన్నర్‌రింగ్‌రోడ్డు, సత్తెనపల్లి వద్ద ఆర్‌ఓబీలను నిర్మించాలి. ప్రజాప్రతినిధుల అనుమతి లేకుండా కాపలా లేని గేట్లను మూసివేయడం వల్ల రైతులు తమ వ్యవసాయ ఉత్పత్తులను తరలించుకోవడంలో ఇబ్బంది పడుతున్న విషయాన్ని అధికారులు గుర్తించాలన్నారు.
ఎంపీ జయదేవ్‌ అందజేసిన ప్రతిపాదనలు..
శంకర్‌విలాస్‌ వద్ద ఆరు వరుసల ఆర్‌ఓబీని నిర్మించాలి. రాజధాని అమరావతికి నూతన రైలు మార్గం నిర్మాణ పనులకు నిధులను మంజూరు చేయడమే గాకుండా అన్ని ప్రాంతాల నుంచి ఇక్కడికి వచ్చే వారి సౌకర్యార్థం అదనంగా రైళ్లను ప్రవేశపెట్టాలి. తెనాలి-గుంటూరు డబ్లింగ్‌ పనులు వేగవంతం చేయాలి. న్యూగుంటూరు స్టేషన్‌ను పూర్తి స్థాయిలో అభివృద్ధి చేయాలి. నల్లపాడు స్టేషన్‌లో పిట్‌లైను నిర్మించాలి. గుంటూరు - విజయవాడ మధ్య రైళ్ల ప్రయాణ సమయాన్ని తగ్గించేవిధంగా చర్యలు చేపట్టాలి. శ్యామలానగర్‌ ఆర్‌యూబీ పనులు వెంటనే ప్రారంభించాలి. నంబూరు - మంగళగిరి మధ్య ఉన్న ఎల్‌సీ నెం.14, నల్లపాడు - బండారుపల్లి ఎల్‌సీ నెం.6 వద్ద ఆర్‌ఓబీని నిర్మించాలి. రైల్వే విశ్వవిద్యాలయాన్ని రాజధాని అమరావతిలో నిర్మించాలి. నూతన రైల్వే జోన్‌కు వెంటనే అనుమతి మంజూరు చేయాలి.
