in Indore almost an hour late. According to eyewitnesses, the sparks and smoke originated from the generator car's wheels shortly before the train reached Naugawa. The train was halted, and passengers were initially worried about a potential accident. It was later revealed that the brake pads were stuck on the wheels, leading to the smoke and sparks. The train remained stopped for about 20 minutes while repairs were undertaken, and it eventually reached Indore at 4:15 PM, almost an hour behind schedule. The Public Relations department, however, denied any knowledge of the incident. Passengers criticized the use of dilapidated DEMU trains on the electrified line, pointing out that the trains frequently malfunction and pose a safety hazard. They also highlighted the environmental damage caused by the diesel-powered trains, adding that both elected officials and railway officials seem indifferent to the issues.

To maximize the use of solar energy generated during the day, the state is supplying it to Delhi Metro and trains in 7 states, including Goa, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha. The Indian Railways receives 195 MW daily from solar plants in Agar, Shajapur, and Neemuch, ensuring a substantial cost saving. The state is encouraging industrial units and domestic consumers to increase daytime consumption by offering incentives, including a 20% discount on energy charges for domestic consumers starting April 2025. With more solar projects underway in Madhya Pradesh, the state aims to become a surplus power producer, further strengthening its position in the renewable energy sector.

Madhya Pradesh mein aur bhi solar projects chal rahe hain, state electricity mein surplus hone wala hai, aur renewable energy sector mein bahut strong banne wala hai.
